I'm not sure if this is appropriate, but...out on the university court are a bunch of people protesting the American/Coalition presence in Iraq, citing the ~3000 American soldiers killed and the tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians killed since the Invasion. I'm powerfully tempted to go down there, read over the numbers, and say that "57,000 is a good start, but we're not finished yet." The irony of a pacifist trying to kill me for that is incredible.

I watched the press conference with Tony Snow resigning and all the way though they were saying how well Tony Snow's fight with cancer was going.

Well with their definition of "fights going well" I expect the cancer has spread to all areas of his body and he'll be dead by Tuesday.

I could get into a lot of trouble in this thread, but here it goes.

People who want to be supported on other people's money without having to work for a living can damn well work just like everyone else. It's one thing to be down on your luck, but to just leach off of welfare without even trying to get a job and support yourself like the rest of us is just wrong.

People in general need to shut the hell up. Dems, Reps, gays, straights, fundies, athiests, blacks, whites, all of them need to just shut up and live their own damn lives without trying to screw around with other people. And stop whining about being persicuted, that goes for all of you.

Black people are just as racist as white people in this day and age. To be fair, they have a little bit of an excuse for it, but that doesn't make it right. Slavery ended a century and a half ago. Things aren't all roses and rainbows, but don't pretend that everyone who utters so much as a peep against affirmative action or who hints that a good portion of your problems might be due to self destructive behavior wants to put you back in chains. And white people, you shape up to. Why something as stupid as race matters to anyone is beyond me.
