Yep. However, they usually prefer something big and flashy, like Jabba's yacht. I would also suspect that they would have multiple concealed weapons, mainly of the illegal type.

In short, expensive, and heavily armed.

Don't forget that it would probably have special compartments to jettison its cargo, just in case any Imperials decided to grace you with their presence. Also, Hutts (being the intergalactic big shots they are) may possibly even have access to cloaking technology.

I hate recommending Darksaber to anyone, but IIRC it contained a decent description of Durga the Hutt's ship.

This is Jabba's ship in the EU, as a reference point to whatever you might decide on eventually.

^ nice find. Hutt ships strike me as pretty much custom jobs, with all their favorite goodies on board, built to their preferences. So think heavily modified.

Yeah, and very flashy. It's like a crime boss who drives a Lambourghini. High-performance and definately shows that the driver is fucking rich. Of course, you don't expect Lambourghinis driven by anyone but James Bond to have hidden rocket launchers, unlike Hutt ships.

He he, Bond driving a lambourghini? Ridiculous. He only drives Aston Martins and BMWs.

Just ask yourself: If Don Vito Corleone lived in the Star Wars galaxy, what kind of ship would he use?

Or look into what Al Capone drove around in and try and find a Star Wars equivelent.

Not flashy enough. I mean, doesn't the mob usually drive around Cadillacs? Hardly inconspicuous, especially if one pulls up in front of your shop, but not flashy like a Hutt would have. Think a drug dealer, if they had international contacts.

True but Al Capone had as his car the fanciest car with the most horsepower that was available. His goal was to not stand out. His Car was Armored and had special hidden places to allow hinm to fire a tommy gun back at somone without having to open a window(which he couldn't anyway) So its roughly the kind of thing a minor hutt might like. Not top of the heaps like Jabba but you get the idea.

I don't know why a Hutt would feel the need to jettison cargo. You don't see many top level gangsters getting their hands dirty, hey?

I think as a private ship, more for personal use, or recreational use, they wouldn't be used much for business.

My boss drove his Range Rover for work, and his Maserati Quattroporte for play. I see a similar parallel in Hutt thinking. Even a midlevel Hutt would have a couple ships.

Bond would not drive a Lambo, because everyone would expect him in a Gallardo. Gallardo's are cheap; if Bond drove one, it would be the Murcielago, which is the opposite of cheap. Actually, I think even one of those is too flashy for a 00 agent.
