More Tenacious-D Love

Post by Lord Poe »

This is a great scene from "The Pick Of Destiny"

I want to get a ringtone with the devil saying "FUCK! FUCK!" over and over again!

Same concept, same guy playing the devil, different song; "Tribute"

What a great song. Tenacious D is labeled, "mock rock", but I disagree. Their music has a strong comedy element, but its viable music. "Mock rock" to me would be something like...Asia or Poison.

Yeah, basicly, Tribute is about the showdown song.

I think this one rules even more.

Pray to God

Any movie where the true power of prayer is shown cannot be all bad.

In the Kickapoo video it always makes me laugh that JB's dad (Meatloaf) is getting off on the song at one point then switches into mean dad mode. :D

From the movie I still love the Master Exploder bit the best. It rocks and is hilarious.

YouTube has a video by the D called Explosivo it has them being introduced by the same open mike guy as the movie and appears to be the same bar. They even do some stuff about being fueld by Satan and JB accidently throwing his lucky pick into the audience. Does anyone know what this bit was from?
By the pricking of my thumb,
Something wicked this way comes.
Open, locks,
Whoever knocks.

It is from their short-lived HBO series. You can see all of the episodes in their Complete Master Works.
