GDI Zone trooper force sub:
Which of these soldiers would be a suitable or even superior substitution for the GDI's zone troopers?
What would you add in their place?

Terminator's aren't as fast or maneuverable, but are almost certainly tougher and better trained. (although fire-power is questionable due to those funky railguns).
I'd consider them superior, normal SM suits are NBC gear and can handle some nastily funky magical radiation as well as the normal kind. (My vote's for them).
The Phase 3 darktrooper would be a superior replacement - it's mechanical composition should leave it immune to anything less than direct contact with the Tiberium, and it's easily replaced.
No idea on the second thing.

It is my understanding that Phrik alloy is exceedingly rare, and presumably expensive to synthesise.DEATH wrote: The Phase 3 darktrooper would be a superior replacement - it's mechanical composition should leave it immune to anything less than direct contact with the Tiberium, and it's easily replaced.

I say Black Templar Terminators. I like the Space Wolves more, but their tendency to NOT wear helmets so they can use their superior sense of smell, leaves them vulnerable to toxic gases, e.g., that used by certain NOD troopers.
Please do not make Americans fight giant monsters.
Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.
They have more WMD than there are monsters for us to fight. (More insanity here.)

Is that written anywhere? Wolf Guard Terminators are the least likely of any Space Wolf unit to be helmetless if you go by the miniatures range.
In any case, they've got that extra organ to take care of poisonous atmospheres. How good is that, anyway?

"So you want to live on a planet?"
"No. I think I'd find it a bit small and wierd."
"Aren't they dangerous? Don't they get hit by stuff?"

You can smell through all the helmets, IIRC. They only switch to internal air in the event of an NBC attack or pressure drop.

I've read all five 'Space Wolf' novels, which specifically state how dependent a Space Wolf is upon his sense of smell. I do not play the game, though, so I'll concede on the "Wolf Guard Terminators are the least likely of any Space Wolf unit to go helmetless" argument.andrewgpaul wrote:Is that written anywhere?
