The Sandman

Post by Inara »

I just finished reading the first volume of the Sandman, and my gods. That was the best graphic novel I think I've ever read. I was constantly getting surprised by the depth of the character inter-relationships, and just the entire plot in general. I was absolutely blown away.

Soo, yeah. This is pretty much for people who have read the Sandman, prolly more than me, and love it to speak up.

First volume of the TPBs or of the Absolute edition? Anyway, I really like it, actually, I think that it's generally better than Watchmen.

It is made out of awesome, yes. [/fanboy]

How is the Absolute edition? Do you get anything extra, or just more pages per volume?

Also, in the first volume, various extras, the original proposal for the comic being the most interesting.

There really is no reason not to get the Absolute edition, since it'll cost you just as much to get the trades.

By the way, the second volume of the Absolute edition comes out in October.

I bought the TPBs before the Absolute edition was available too... well, at the least the introductions are not reprinted and usually quite interesting.
