Wiped out a long range by missile fire. These things are just ridiculous, the bigger ones would sink to there belly's in normal earth and most would be lucky to have armor against 23mm cannon fire with there massive surface areas and awful shapes.

Be nice to have numbers of each zoid in the attack....

But yeah, T-34s and IS-2s start rolling all over the little ones, while those big uber zoids get stuck in the mud/earth/ect.
'Ai! ai!' wailed Legolas. 'A Balrog! A Balrog is come!'
Gimli stared with wide eyes. 'Durin's Bane!' he cried, and letting his axe fall he covered his face.
'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. 'What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.'

Considering that many Zoids have their own Long Range attacks, as well as decent ECM systems, that might not work as well as you think.

No sign of active infared jammers on them, only thing which would be of issue against the T-90's.

Those facny "Charged Particle Cannons" would make a Soviet Tank Army's really bad day, but otherwise the Soviets out-produce the Zoids force (who, it seems, don't have any reserves or backups in place (and we still don't know how many per zoid, those big guys don't exactly come in packs of 12) )

That depends, as numbers aren't typically given.

In the anime, however, Molgas and Rev Rapters number into scores, if not hundreds like the Molga, in normal deployments. Red Horns and Saber Tigers are typically also used in teams, or given to officers. Dark Horns, Iron Kongs, and Great Sabers(A variation on the Saber Fang) are typically given to high-ranking officers and Special teams.

Some Zoids, particularly the Geno Saurer/Breaker and the Death Saurer/Stinger, were one-of-a-kind in the anime, but in Tomy's Zoids Web Comics(Which have a different storyline than the anime), they are a lot more common, while still at least somewhat rare, and possibly less powerful(In one, a Liger Zero Panzer is a match for a Death Stinger. Of course, in the comics, the LZP can move with all it's armor and weapons on).

So how about:

five Molgas for every Infantry Platoon

One Saber Fang, Red Horn, or Iron Kong for every tank.

Officers get their choise of Zoid, but no more than twelve Death Saurers/Stingers/Bezerk Fuhrers, and twenty-one Geno Saurers/Breakers/Dark Spiners in total.

Stukas replaced by Zabats and Redlers

Transport Planes replaced by Whale Kings.

Considering the range advantage the Zoid side has this isn't going to be much of a fight as the first time the Ruskies run into anything with a Long Range Rifle they're going to find themselves coming under fire from 60 miles out.

SAMAS realizes he has to send legions of Mechs w/ huge range abilities against standard Soviet '41 era armor to win a Force sub. what a dipshit.

This isn't a Force sub. It's a goddamned toy catalogue.

PS. Samas, from the pictures, every one of those Zoids is obviously made of plastic. Hence, they all die from small-arms fire.

Yes you are. This sub is based off one which assumes the Russians get T-90's, MANPADS ATGM's and Hinds.

Hardly matters though, these Zoids would be crushed by WW1 artillery fire.

The idea of a biped that runs at 200 km/h is just about the funniest damned thing I've heard all day. Let's say it can actually do this: I figure it would make it about 80 metres before the heavy shock-loading blows the bearings in its knees, hips, and ankles all to hell, its legs collapse under it, and it plows face-first into the dirt.

Hah. Thats nothing. These robots run like standard animals. They have felinoid robots that run and do turns sharper then a cheetahs wildest dream. Antelope and gazelle only wish they were that agile.

Actually I can think of at least one mobile suit who's cannons are clearly kinetic weapons.

Everything that hurls an object is technically kinetic. The point is one of quantification.

Precisely. This proves that the weight figures are total bullshit, these things must be made of feather-light materials, and they would be shot full of holes by small-arms fire.

Non-explosive kinetic then, and they seemed better than other mobile suit MGs.

Precisely. This proves that the weight figures are total bullshit, these things must be made of feather-light materials, and they would be shot full of holes by small-arms fire.
The only infantry carried weapon I've seen hurt a Zoid was a rare anti-zoid weapon.

Also in the series we've seen that there are multiple zoids capable of of taking hits from city destroying weapons (The Ultrasaurus took IIRC 2 or 3 hits from the DeathSaurer without being destroyed and could also withstand the city-destroying CPC of the Death Stinger for IIRC 30 minutes).

Could you also enlighten me as to how the weight figures can be wrong when we don't know what they're made of?
