A New Life just seems to much like it has one cut-and-paste method. Sedate the cops with donuts, take their clothes, gun, and the camera tape, break the utility box, strangle Vinnie, rig the barbecue, take the necklace, get your suit, and run. Other missions have more of a variety of doing things, whereas A New Life has one simple pattern that always works every time.

I just bought the whole trilogy this weekend for PS2. I started playing Blood Money, and damn I realized what I had been missing for the past few years. It took me a while to figure out how to beat the Chile level, but I finally got it and I'm starting to get the hang of this game. I played the Paris Opera level today killed the singer from the light control room and snuck out. I then killed the German extras grabbed a uniform, went on stage and killed the grieving ambassador and hauled ass out of the front door.

One of the things I love is how everyone says "There was only one way to do mission X, it sucked" and I think "But that's not how I did it!"
I've never used the BBQ accident. There's a number of ways to get the necklace without having to kill an innocent. On a level as simple as A New Life, there should only be one fatality, IMO.

Indeed. Besides, perfectly timing your seringing of the pool-boy in order to seduce the wife is far more fun than just doing the barbecue.GuppyShark wrote:One of the things I love is how everyone says "There was only one way to do mission X, it sucked" and I think "But that's not how I did it!"

And I always sniped Vinnie in his chair from across the way. Except for when I bombed him. Or drowned him. Or emptied an SMG clip into him through the closet door.
Don't forget strangling Vinnie. Also, poisoning him. You hit him while he's in his computer room, and the FBI won't notice. At that point, drag his body out of casual sight, and walk away.

I personally didn't bother. Just throw knives at themGuppyShark wrote:I was never able to achieve anything with the Coin. What am I missing? Nobody ever seemed to show any interest in the money I was throwing around.
IIRC, different people will react differently to coins, and they only work if they land a short distance away, anyway.
People will look in a given direction, generally, which may be enough for you to get by. Also, if they then see something interesting, they'll head towards it. Ex: they see a mine you dropped, they'll go pick it up. Useful for nabbing a Marine Uniform.GuppyShark wrote:I was never able to achieve anything with the Coin. What am I missing? Murder of Crows on professional is actually pretty easy, so long as you pack at least one silenced weaponFord Prefect wrote:I'm not looking forward to Murder of Crows on Professional.
