ethernet driver

ethernet driver
Ok I just installed xp on a vista machine and the dirvers for the ethernet are not there. When I go to HP website they list the ethernet as a data link protocol etherent fast ethernet. And they have no drivers for it. How am I suppoed to know what drivers to uses as googling for that turns up nothing.
