Problem with Elder Scrolls 4

Post by Xess »

I loaded up Oblivion today and all my characters are stuck in a slow motion backwards auto-walk that cannot be stopped. I re-installed the game and it didn't fix the problem. Neither did starting a new game. I had a few mods installed but they were all working yesterday when I was using the game.

Anyone know of a way to fix this?

Yeah, it was working great up until today. I loaded up my saved game and BAM slow-mo backwards autowalk.

Something's off in your control scheme. It's reading an input from somewhere.

This kind of issue always has a mundane explanation.

do you have a joystick or gamepad hooked up? That'll do it pretty much every time.

Yeah check the joystick, pull it out and reload if there is one plugged in. This error is very annoying, but almost always because of some kind of input. If that doesn't work, unplug your keyboard and mouse, then plug them back in again after a reset.
