Considering that the question of this poll is "Do you take a shower. . .", why isn't "No" an option?

Personally, I think it's a misuse of freshwater to be showering twice a day every day. Even once a day shouldn't be necessary unless you're doing physical work or hard exercise every day. But that's just me.

Aluminum oxides don't do shit for bacteria. What they do is clog up your pores so that you don't sweat as much.

I know. I just like to think of my pits as a sort of chemical wasteland hostile to all forms of microscopic life; cratered and blasted with a thick forest of mutated leafless, curly black trees tens of thousands of nanometers tall. If I was microscopic and I came to a place like that, I sure wouldn't relish the thought of building a homestead! :D

I'm with Chardok in that I really don't understand people who don't shower before bed. It feels sooooo nice to go to sleep right after a shower and feel all clean and nice in the bed, and I have a fantastic bed with fantastic covers so might as well enjoy it feeling clean.

Except when it's summer. Then I often sleep downstairs.

I don't shower in the morning now, but if I ever get a particularly nice job then it'll be worth it to look my best everyday and take one before work as well.

I usually shower once in the morning and once at night. It's just relaxing to take a quick, hot shower before heading to bed. If I've been out hiking, exercising hard or something, I'll take a quick shower after that, no matter the time of day.

You try waking up at 5am every day. Then you get decide if waking up at 4:45am is really worth it for that shower.

Clean for the entire day... I guess that depends on what each person does during his or her day. If you work in a mostly cool environment and don't stress out, I guess you'll stay mostly clean.

If it's summer though, then no amount of showering in the morning will prevent you from sweating by merely noon.

I shower in the mornings without fail and again a second time if I've been running around in mud or sweating alot or something, but usually not. I always shampoo and condition once a day though because I'm growing my hair out and it gets tangled as fuck if I don't keep it in good shape with proper cleaning and brushing, if I take a second shower I don't usually condition it a second time though because that'll make it all greasy and icky.

I generally shower everyday, but to be fair, my work gets me fairly dirty and sweaty.

Depends on what I'm going to be doing the next day. If it's going to be a regular day, I'll have a shower in the late evening. If on the other hand I'm meeting someone important or attending a meeting, I'll take one after I wake up, in order to look (and smell) my best.

Bearing this in mind, I chose "Castrate Straha."

Oh, come on! We're about the same age, I might even be a little older than you, and I wake up for work at 5am. And I have no problem handling the three S's before breakfast.

Twice a day, but then, I work on a farm, so I smell like horse/cow/goose shit or rotten fruit at the end of the day.

I am not a morning person, but I shower right after waking up, and typically I shower right after getting home. Once I've gotten all outdoors or heavy lifting tasks out of the way, it's shower time.
