Ah, but the victory usually goes to the team with the simplest design. While the bomb/explosive should be easy enough, having to build a shield strong enough to keep the team alive when it goes off would be tricky. They would have to build a shield generator as well as the power source for it in addition to the bomb. Junkyard teams usually have enough trouble getting a working engine in addition to the things they need done in the time alotted. Asking SW to split their efforts 3 ways (Boba on bomb detail, Han/Chewie on shield generator and Luke on power source) would be spreading themselves too thin. If any one of the three tasks did not get completed in the 10 hours, they'd be Bantha fodder!

I like Frank's idea about them building a plasma cutter. Two guys on the plasma torch and two getting the power source working. They should be able to complete that with enough time to give it a nice paint job...

Team Star Wars. They're far more likely to be familiar with what makes up the junk and stand a better chance of finding useful technology.

Though I assume piling stuff up and climbing out the entrance chute is not an option?

No, its not a option, why there is not enough junk to do it anyway

BTW the door is about 3 in thick it would be a hefty exposive to knock it down

I like Frank's idea about them building a plasma cutter. Two guys on the plasma torch and two getting the power source working. They should be able to complete that with enough time to give it a nice paint job...

I agree
a plasma torch cutter is simple and very effective
why in the contest they may have the time to cut their names in the door after they have cut their way out of the compacter
i have used a plasma cutter and they are fast
a small hand held one can cut 1 inch thick steel easily with the corect settings

why in the contest they may have the time to cut their names in the door after they have cut their way out of the compacter

Depending whether or not they could build a powered chassie in orer to make it move fater of course. Also this is a much bettr plan than the one proposed for Team TOS where they are reliying on Kirk's "Luck" to get them the code to open the doof instead of building some sort of machine to cut the door open like they are supposted to. I figure tinkering with the door would not be legal anyway.

SW, Boba Fett would probablyjust shoot the rest of the team and use his jetpack to leave though the chute. Thus getting him disqualified(like he would care).

ST, sadly, they would think of an over-compliate solution that has to do with something related to one of the crew's personal lives. and by the ime they get this solution, they get squshed.

B5, Franklin and Ivanova would be looking through the garbage and find some tool that they need to escape. Sheridan and Garibaldi come up with a plan that will save their butts, but, since this is B5, and somtimes they lose, they don't find anything and are flattened.

Yet I still vote for B5, aren't I odd?
