I already owned HL2, I just ordered the Orange Box, and I can't think of know anyone I know personally who would want it and doesn't already have it. So, does anyone want my Orange Box Gift of HL2?

Erik, PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send the gift your way on the 10th when the Orange Box officially launches. If you already have Steam, make sure you give the e-mail address you used for Steam, so it'll be automagically added to your available games list.

So, everyone who complained about the evil Valve bundling HL2 and Ep 2 with the Orange Box and now knowing anyone who wanted a free copy of the games can now get rid of them, cool.

Personally I always thought of them as free, not as a "they are pushing up the price!" thing, kindda like how Lucas Arts bundled the first 2 Monkey Island games with TCMI and Full Throttle with Grim Fandango, cause I would have paid $50 for Portal, TF2 and Ep 2 alone anyway.

I'm betting it's also going to turn into a very effective viral merchandising tool that's actually useful.

BTW, everyone, if you're going to buy the Orange Box, I strongly recommend you don't do it from Steam unless you really really have to play as soon as it gets released (or you just wanted to play TF2 early, which is totally worth it). Retail stores are bound to try to undercut Steam when Orange Box is released. In fact, it's already started:

Orange Box on Circuit City for $37.99!

I'm also going to have a free copy of HL2 and Ep. 1 to get rid off soon, as well. Send them emails.

Edit: Yeah, i don't know what's going on with the URL, something is not parsing right but i can't figure out what, can a mod fix it?

This is kind of a problem, we've got several different people saying to PM them, and a few saying they'll be PMing, but we don't really know who still has one available and whose have been given away. So either we need people to say when theirs is no longer available, or we need to not do this via PM. Meanwhile, I'm gonna PM DPDP to see if I get first dibs.

Thankfully, Steam has yet to be undercut by prices in 3rd world countries, so I'm still winning out here.
