the deduction that (some of) these people are here illegally comes from the way the act, what language they speak to me, their body language, their reaction to me in general. The way they dress or look physically is not a good indicator of an illegal. So maybe a fuck you to the people here calling me a racist or assuming that anyway is in order here. I see this often around my city and I take corrective action in the form of making the business owner fix it. I don't know the specific law but I always BS them with the old "it is a Federal Law, so breaking that is an automatic felony" and they fix it so fast your head spins.
That's not you "advising them about the flag code", that's you saying they're in breach of the law and implying they're subject to arrest and prosecution if they don't take down the Mexican flag.

The modern nation-state sprung into existence with the Treaty of Westphalia, and will no doubt go the way of the dinosaur when it has served its purpose. There were ages before it existed, and there will be long ages after it has run its course. Nationalism was once a radical ideology of revolt against monarchy; now it has become stifling and unproductive. Let others find something over which to be clannish, but the twin ideologies of nationalism and national-patriotism have become harmful and obsolete.

Nothing thus far, though it is a problem I intend to tackle. It's quite absurd to assert that the nation-state is the definitive or most highly developed method of social arrangement, particularly when it is territorially - rather than productivity - based. Clearly delineated territories will become less relevant as the global population increases, and I strongly suspect that some form of production-centered method of arrangement will take its place in the coming centuries.
The nation-state is slowly being supplanted by the international forces of business already. As flawed as the nationalist model is, I can't see this as an improvement. At least the nationalist model has some semblance of interest in the welfare of its denizens, whereas the multi-national business model has none.

Something like that. Did you think we just randomly choose people for deportation, or that we have a way of checking? Hint - There is a process that we can use to check. Though in my state we leave that up mostly up to INS because frankly we have better things to do than going around harassing people who just want a better life.
