Yeah, this is me because I am going Arena fun last night.
Well, if you get it. I'm usually the Fury guy because I fucking hate tanking.
I only play pretty much on raid nights or after work.

After two and a half months, and a 35 NE Rogue, I bring you Roxanne. Currently level 51 Human Warlock. My pride and joy, really, Affliction ftw. And yes, I solo affliction. Demonology is boring, and way too easy to pull aggro, and destruction is so mana-consuming it's not even funny, IMO. Plus, I like my PVPing, so I'll definitely be doing arena with this toon later in the game.
It's too bad I dinged while working on my level 50 lock quest for the Abyss Shard, though, because I really wanted to try Alterac Valley. And then came weekly maintenance. Sigh, later tonight then.
Oh, and then I have Etiénne, my level 20 holy troll priest. I really don't play it enough.

I don't know how is it now but AV used to be laggy as hell (seriously it took several seconds to cast instant cast spells) this was EU Alterac valley though.
tbh I wouldn't even try PvP before level 70, and I wouldn't go near Arenas ever (then my main is a Holy Paladin (and no they're not immortal) and I hate PvP)
EDIT:Also I wouldn't make priest holy until level 70 (holy is a pain to level with) my priest

Runetotem is a massive arena server, though, everyone's always looking for partners to pair up with for the various teams. As far as Alterac, though, I haven't actually been to AV before, as I don't have a 70 yet. But I want to try because I'm massively masochistic like that.Lord Revan wrote:tbh I wouldn't even try PvP before level 70, and I wouldn't go near Arenas ever (then my main is a Holy Paladin (and no they're not immortal) and I hate PvP)

well with propper placement, right kind of char and some luck you get really insane amounts of kills there (honesty I got about 100< kills on one run by AoEing a single point in the Horde base with my Undead Warlock (a bottle neck)).haas mark wrote:Runetotem is a massive arena server, though, everyone's always looking for partners to pair up with for the various teams. as for the Arenas it just seems you'd need Jedi reflexes or host of unsanctioned Addons to be able to anything in arenas as your opponents will have those addons (meaning that you will fight actually an AI rather then a human), though maybe that's just Draenor (EU PvE realm).

Don't need AoEing. I just dot everything to hell, and keep my imp out for dark pact. As everyone else kills things, I still gain honor.Lord Revan wrote:well with propper placement, right kind of char and some luck you get really insane amounts of kills there (honesty I got about 100< kills on one run by AoEing a single point in the Horde base with my Undead Warlock (a bottle neck)).haas mark wrote:Runetotem is a massive arena server, though, everyone's always looking for partners to pair up with for the various teams. Resilience is key. Besides, even if it is just bots in arena, they can't always win, and are always flawed in some way. But either way, Runetotem is a fairly old realm, and I enjoy it ... even have people telling me to stop levelling lately because I'm not letting them catch up, heh.as for the Arenas it just seems you'd need Jedi reflexes or host of unsanctioned Addons to be able to anything in arenas as your opponents will have those addons (meaning that you will fight actually an AI rather then a human), though maybe that's just Draenor (EU PvE realm).

Ahhh, to be young and naive. Wait until you hit level 70 my friend, all you'll be doing is running to a bottleneck and spamming Seed of Corruption until you Life Tap yourself to death. Then you'll be reading all the Mages crying in /bg chat.haas mark wrote:Don't need AoEing. I just dot everything to hell, and keep my imp out for dark pact. Yes! Yes! Let me harness your salty Mage tears!
If you're Destruction; Shadow Fury makes an AWESOME trigger to make all your seeds go BOOM at once! If you're Affliction, through an UA out there somewhere and watch as the helpful priest mass dispells ... BWWWAAHAHAHA!
EDIT :: By the way I'm serious here, I got the most damage and most killing blows in Alterac Valley by standing at Stormpike bridge and just spamming Seed of Corruption while the Horde were trying to take it by a mile, seriously those things can easily crit for over 2k, ooh, I'm getting excited just thinking about it.

That's also why I group with some of the best healers I've seen on the realm. Granted, one of them can't watch their overheals for shit, but whatever. Either way, I avoid lifetap until i've used all my minion's mana.Crown wrote:Ahhh, to be young and naive. Actually a good case can be made to level in Alterac Valley, as you need massive amounts of honor (upwards of 100k) to get all of the epic PvP items for the Arena. Additionally, once the new Arena Season starts (sometime in the next 2-3 months would be my guess), you can get the Arena Season 1 items for honor. Since I doubt you'll be able to get enough Arena points together to immediately get the new Season stuff (or even most of the current season), it wouldn't hurt to amass some honor to get those items once they are available.Lord Revan wrote:tbh I wouldn't even try PvP before level 70, and I wouldn't go near Arenas ever (then my main is a Holy Paladin (and no they're not immortal) and I hate PvP
On Horde side you have a cave in the south (east of the main Fortress), in which you have fast respawning mobs that give about 400-600 experience per kill (non-rested that is). You still get relatively large amounts of honor (especially on an AV weekend), and nobody really cares that you aren't really helping out. This of course depends on your willingness to grind some levels. On the downside, you also get less money/items this way than by questing. However, you can do all those quests you left out once you hit level 70 and get large amounts of gold quite fast. This is only useful if you want to do Arena (though some of the PvP items are also extremely good for PvE before you can get in the higher raid instances).

To be honest, very insane gear in PvP. Fucking A, the healing weapons alone make me wonder.

well I sometimes do PvP but not very regulary as most people there seem to be even worse idiots then in PuGs (assuming that's even possible) and since I'm in guild that does Kara and is building up to becoming capable of larger raids too, I got that option.
besides my main has something like 100000000000000 quests for level 70 left do having to skip many quests to speed level.

Even going into BT, I went for a lot of the Arena weapons because you cannot put down a 97.7 DPS weapon one hander for a couple weeks work. Plus some of the caster/healing is nearly the best UNTIL deep BT.
This is the insanity Blizzard did.

All a Pally does is heal in PvP. That's it. Flash of Light the main healer or if 2v2 or 3v3, be main healer. You rely that your team's DPS is better then the other side.

I've only been playing for a bit over four months. Here's my primary, Rhysdav, Level 55 Dwarf Protadin.
I also have a Level 42 Human Arms Warrior, Danniela, that I develop when I'm not working on Rhys or a lesser minor alt (urgk.... priests are annoying to level, don't have Mind Flay yet).
I don't play every free moment, for numerous reasons, such as other non-playing friends online who would want to strangle me if I did so, the fact that I still write too, and of course the fact that if I played the game too much I'd probably let the flaws and irritations of it completely destroy my appreciation of it and I'd quit.
