Fox Biz Launches, Swiftly Clones CNBC

Post by Dalton »

Has anyone been watching the launch of Fox Biz? I'm at work right now and we're watching these clowns do all but fling TP at our building. Not only is their look eerily similar to what MSNBC uses, but they're doing live hits from CNBC's home in Englewood Cliffs, NJ (for no reason other than to "rub it in") and even named a segment "Fox Business Squawk Box" (a blatant lift of CNBC's Squawk Box program).

I guess they're aiming to confuse the audience.

I'm just waiting for them to make a conservative alternative to every other television genre, so that the unthinking idiots can just watch the same closed-circut of information and be completely oblivious to absolutely anything in the outside world.

I want to find out who their favourite companies are.

Actually, I bet their VG console war coverage is going to be especially funny.

As if it could be possible to confuse them any more than they already are.

Find out who their favourite companies are, and never invest in them.

They've actually created their own stock index, the FOX50.

This will probably tie into News Corporation's recent acquisition of the WSJ.

Why not? There's a good chance that Fox's favourite companies all have fat money-making deals with the government, which can in turn lead to nice returns on investment.

Well, there is taking a stand on principle, in short, refusing to support in any way, anything which is affiliated with FOX.

Of course I'm not the best one to speak on this topic since I currently own Exxon-Mobil shares...

Given Fox News' reputation, I wouldn't even trust their so-called analysis to be even remotely impartial.

So did I, but they weren't doing that well so I sold them and bought Schlumberger shares.

They'll be playing a dangerous game if they do that. This is going the be primarily watched by people with money to invest and if they get burned they'll go elsewhere.
