Did the USA land on the moon, japan will show us

Post by Omega-13 »

Japan is sending a moon surveyor to the moon in 2004, to completely map the entire surface, this will be able to pickup the landing craft that were left there so many years ago, now there has been talks that the US hasn't actually landed on the moon, been on tv a lot lately, so if they haven't, and the US gov. well some of them know this, will they let the Jap satalite reach the moon? or will there be an accident, as in, shot down by a laser, so no projectile can be tracked....

Glad finaly the Conspirasy nuts will finaly get there.. no wait they will just say the Japanise are in on it too

Yes, let's just invite in Resident Commie and his conspiracy posse.

This should put to rest any doubts you might have about whether the moon landings actually happened. He systematically destroys most of the moon hoax arguments. He's like Lord Wong, without the Imperial Smackdown! (TM) attitude.

With a powerful enough scope you can see the stuff they left behind on the moon.

I think.

Oh God those damn Japanese are in on it! Look at how they faked the pictures! Little do they know that there's no way their satellite's pictures could be that clear, cause the atmosphere on the moon is churning about and would blur the images somewhat. Look, conclusive proof that the Moon landings are still fake!!

we americans, we went up there, planted our flag played some golf, went home never coming back having "been there and done that". We just have too much style and they can't stand it.
I like that theory. By the way, when we finally do establish a permanant presence on the moon, I think the first person who opens up the Tranquility Country Club is going to make a fortune. What hardcore golfer wouldn't want to play on a 5000 yard par-4 16th or use one of those lunar rovers as a golf cart? No water hazards, either.

No such scope exists. Even Hubble can't do it (it's physically incapable of it because it is too far from the moon - the primary mirror doesn't have the resolving power to spot the little things they left behind). From dirtside, even if they had the resolving power, I doubt you could see squat all through the atmosphere.

I believe the Japanese probe is going to be relatively close to the moon, so it gets to see :>

Correction you have to be far enough away and with a more powerful telescope to see it remeber you COULD see it if you had a super powerful scope then traveled thirty light years and zoomed in and waited for them to show up :D

As for the Simpsons I remeber that full quote

You don't need a telescope to see what was left on the moon. The astronauts left large mirrors on the surface, which NASA routinely reflects lasers off of for various purposes.

The smallest an object can be before it cannot be seen is around 200 meters, I believe. The lander, rover, the flags, and all the other gizmos left on the Moon are much smaller than 200 meters wide.

Quite Frankly, you don't know enough about Nigeria...

(snip more off-topic ranting and thread-hijacking about Nigeria's social structure, which has precisely nothing to do with the "US moon-landing hoax" subject, as well as whining that he is being persecuted for not being allowed to hijack threads)- Darth Wong

I saw that special on TV. I especially liked the part when they said that there were two shadows in several images from the television feed--just like someone would expect from a studio lighting set. Apparently these people did not realize that there are two light sources on the moon. The Earth also casts a significant amount of illumination on the moon.

*nods* One of the most basic is measuring how far away the moon is. That's how they now the moon is actually slowly receding from Earth.

When I get home, I'll dig up a couple of 'moon-hoax-debunking' sites I ran across the other day - very good explanations of why half the supposed 'fakery' is actually evidence for a non-Terran origin.

Nothing except his own honesty. Of course, if he did start abusing power that way, you'd have the same choice everyone else has - complain that this was being done, and then vote with your feet and leave.

'Course, this is somewhat off-topic for the thread too - but unlike Az's is stuff it isn't ridiculously long-winded, and people can skip over it easily.

That's exactly what all those conspiracists and people who just hate America and it's accomplishments are going to say if the Japanese statelite malfunctions, or if they so get to the moon and map the surface, they are just going to say that nasa payed off the Japanese goverment or something to fake the pictures.
