That's a parody, dude. We used to do it all the time on ASVS. I think that was written a few years ago!
I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually came to that, frankly. The man needs good help.

Wait wait wait wait wait.... that Darkstar log about Trekmiss is real!? Good Lord, someone should lock him up before he murders someone.

As for the revised Trekmiss, I like the old one better, at least the way a lot of it seemed to flow more smoothly with the music.

No, its parody. See Wayne's post.

Well, that DID come true. He actually made a "Warsmiss" video after mine came out. No idea if he still has it online. It got him tossed from spacebattles.com permanently.

I'll let Poe have the finer details, but Scooty Poof's video was in a similar vein but failed to realize why Wayne made his video.

Wayne's video was in regard that Trektards claim that ST has 100% accuracy. Obviously not. No one but the most rabid moron would claim that for SW.

I believe this was one of the times that Wayne got temp banned from SB, but it was the brouhaha afterwards that led to Anderson's permanent banning.

Bracketing fire: yet another real-life military concept Scooter knows nothing about.
That's why they sent only four TIE fighters . . . which was almost an overestimate (of the Falcon) on their part.
Dumbass actually thinks the Imperials were trying to destroy the Falcon in ANH as it traveled to Yavin? ROTFLMAO.
Aww, I'm quite sorry that anti-capital ship SW weapons are unable to hit slowly moving fighters that fly right up to and past them, and don't even try to shoot most of the time. I'll keep that in mind next time I watch scenes of capital ship Trek weapons destroying tiny targets in "Conundrum"[TNG], "Sacrifice of Angels"[DS9], et cetera.
I guess idiot-star also thinks a battleships main guns should be able to hit aircraft.

Is he talking about the same SW weapons which actually do hit fighters in several distinct instances (Jek Porkins, for example) - starfighters that theya r enot optimized to hit?

Is he also talking about the same ST weapons that, when mounted in stable turrets or strips on a space station, often miss barely maneuvering Klingon warships?

Many Trektards don't realize that what they're suggesting is like using the 18.1"/45 cannons off the Yamato for anti-air fire, it's possible and IIRC the Japanese did utilize a special type of shell in their main guns for anti-aircraft purpose, but they weren't traversing fast enough to hit a Fighter at point blank range and they sucked because of a lack of range. Really, that's a testament to the technology Wars have.

I tried using his web page search engine but it didn't turn up anything. Neither did google or youtube searches. You'll probably have to go hunting through Darkstar's site for it, if you can endure the stupidity, assuming he still has it at all. Perhaps you can call him and ask. Ask Shep for his number

A good movie. That demonstrate the superior accurance of SW weapons in one of the worst jammings (perhaps THE worst) of the science fiction. You could add a link for this in the Darkstar Database of your site, if it wasn't disappeared. BTW, why is it disappeared?

Notice how the page contains the afore mentioned denial of him ever seeing Trekkie claims of flawless Trek accuracy.

Cargo cult debating. Mike proposes that phasers use some exotic effect to make matter cease to exist to explain the lack of real brute-force vaporization, and Scooter proposes the chain reaction theory of the superlaser, in cargo-cultish hopes to rob the Death Star of its power; Wayne makes the Trekmiss series to knock down the claimed 100% accuracy myth of Trek weapons, and Scooter makes "Warsmiss" in cargo-cultish hopes to rob 'Trekmiss' of it's persuasive power. Scooter performs what he thinks are the exact same rituals as successful debaters in cargo-cultish hope that the rituals will convince his own ancestors to visit him with success similar to that the ancestors of Mike Wong and Wayne Poe have given them. At least the real cargo cults of New Guinea and Melanesia were from scientifically unsophisticated cultures. Scooter has no excuse.

Read the last chapter of Feynman's Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman! for his triad on "cargo-cult science."

Meanwhile, I've had the disturbing image of Captain Anderson prancing about a mock-up runway and gesticulating with two sticks, totally naked except with a gourd on his genitals.

Wait a minute, I just remembered something.
IIRC, Conundrum was an episode where the lysian drones had to be right on top of the Enterprise before it fired, and later on, they had to close to within a few ship lengths to be in range to hit the holy crap its really big Lysian command center.

And in Sacrifice of Angels, the Cardassian ships were firing wildly into barely manuevering formations of Peregrine fighters and still not hitting most of them.

I want to say something about cherry picking and selective memory, but this is fucking Darkstar we're talking about here.
