Are you serious? RI and I were going to go as the Pope, but the costumes were too expensive. Coincidences, eh?

We're probably not dressing up - we're just taking my little sister trick-or-treating with us. One of these days I'd love to dress up as Discworld characters though.

I bought a real clerical shirt from Almy .com and I went out and bought a bible so I'm gonna go as a priest. My girl is dressing like a devil. Other than the exorcist routine, we're just gonna go for shock value. You know, the whole "So many Christians, so few lions," bit.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

I don't know yet. Halloween isn't really celebrated here, but I'm going to a dress-up Halloween cocktail party so I need to find something. Something that goes well with a fairy and a zombie.

Yeah, why bother celebrating Halloween anyway? All the fun stuff happens on the 5th of November, remember? :) Atleast that has some real tradition behind it!

We split the holiday: the costumes, partying and candy are for carnival, the visiting-the-graves-of-dead-people is on All Soul's Day.

I've always gone for quick easy type costumes. I've gone as a bloodsucking lawyer (vampire teeth and a suit) and as Rimmer (H taped to my forehead and a green shirt).

This year I'm going as Arthur Dent.

Wait, both of you were going to be the Pope? What, were they going to stand on your shoulder and have a really long robe? :D
'Ai! ai!' wailed Legolas. 'A Balrog! A Balrog is come!'
Gimli stared with wide eyes. 'Durin's Bane!' he cried, and letting his axe fall he covered his face.
'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. 'What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.'

LOL, no. We were both going to have identical Pope costumes. We had been eyeing the second one down on this page (it's actually called a cardinal costume on the page) but we don't have $80 plus shipping to throw around on Halloween costumes. So we'll just go as ourselves and let my sister do the dressing up. She's got a blue M&M costume.

You guys could do a pope and antipope, and then make out.

That'd be unsettling on 8 different levels.

But a pope and an antipope would annihilate each other on contact. :D
