Since October is almost done, I just figured that we could condense all three of these months into one nomination vote and get started right now so that we guarantee ourselves someone for November, at least.

I nominate Spin Echo, both for her performance in this thread, where she is exemplary in her calm and professional refutation of one of the board's stupider and less noticed idiots, along with her prior August nomination examples:

To my knowledge, the August vote was never held, and I certainly do not remember IO winning it.

No vote thread was ever created. Pick, Spin Echo, and Imperial Overlord were all nominated and seconded; I'm not certain if it would be procedurally proper to simply give them their vote, or suspend it and carry on with this election period.

yup, we recall their nominations, but no vote thread is on record

nor are any of the three now currently members.

oh, and in light of what's recently happened, I think in August I jokingly pulled a Caligulia and post-haustomusly nominated a dead animal for honorary senator status.

I agree. We let the august one slip, so lets finish up that one and this one. Although we have no reason to hurry, ,we should have voted the last one

I think, though we should hold them one after the other. First one has all three, and then the next one has the other two who lost.

Alternatively if no one objects I'm going to post a vote thread for everyone nominated and seconded in the August thread and then leave this thread open for nominations until the end of two weeks hence (thus one week to vote on the August noms and a second week to continue nominating anyone else besides whomever is not voted in from the August nod).

Just in case you did not notice: Pick is no longer a member here, so I guess nominating her is kinda pointless (although Marina was a senator for a very long time before she came back, so I guess we can vote for another absentee one).

She stormed off after some people made fun of her in a thread, I don't remember which one or all the details. I thought she was overreacting more than a bit, but also that some people could have been a bit easier on her.

She actually overreacted in that thread and fairly badly, so the "going easier on her" part must have been what I felt in some earlier thread, since there was one of those but it was a fairly long time ago.

This Senator moves to table the previous motion. With all due respect, unopposed nomination should never be the same thing as co-option by acclamation.

I would also point out that Spin Echo's previous nomination still stands, even if Pick's has been suspended. A vote for August still must be held.

not to mention I called him by that nickname too.

worse beware of how many AIM names/accounts Haas has. I've even mistakenly recieved AIMs from him in his BDSM role play AIM account.

needless to say I backed out of THAT chat room really fast.
