FIRST of all, golf is not the Scientology of religion. Scientology has no credibility with religious types, unlike golf which DOES have credibility with athletes... That might be true, but missionaries or even people who just got back from one, so no excuse for not being up to date on doctrine, can't answer too many off the wall questions or in depth questions either.

I discuss relegion all the time with mormons, and while they can field softballs, hit them with a tough one and you get the predictable ...'I'll have to ask my/come to my ward and talk to my Bishop' dodges.

So when I say I'm an atheist, I get into all sorts of discussions, most of which a missionary or a recently returned missionary can't get too far into because they just don't know the doctrine past the shiney top layer of bullshit.

There's actually a fair amount of, and growing, Babtists in northern Utah. The demographics are seriously changing along the major population areas, pushing a lot of the hard core mormons toward happy valley (Provo and Utah county).

Ontop of that, we get bus loads of evangelicals up from the bible belt who like to stand on their soap boxes in downtown SLC, by the Mormon temple, and spew.
