Superman vs. Darth Vader...

Actually ~monitor isnt a normal characvter so he doesnt count hes a multiverse killer. supes thrashed doomsday the second time the fought as I recall and Id still like to see a supes goku fight

But you did say that Superman did battle cosmic entities, so on this note, why would the Anti Monitor be excluded? If you hang around in alt.fan.dragonball and do a search, you will find Goku VS Superman fights. Superman always loses of course. I have my own website dedicated to the issue.

Ill have to actually look at the site is alwasy nice seeing something that can pummel supes though DB got old and retreaded after freeza

Ok, look people. Superman is vulnerable to magic. This is pretty basic Superman knowledge here, so if manipulating the Force counts as "magic" then Supes would be vulnerable to Darth.

However, let's not forget that Superman does have a few things going for him. First of all, he's got Super-speed. This guy has shown himself to be faster than the Flash even, so this would be an advantage he's got over old Darth. Not to mention Super-breath and his heat vision.

I think we can safely say that if Superman got his hands on Vader, it would be over. It would be pretty simple for old Supes to rip that helmet off, or to yank his breathing apparatus right off of his body. Hell, Superman has enough strength to punch right THROUGH Vader's body!

Throwing things at Supes with the Force would be useless. Blasting him with laser bolts would also be useless. It is possible, though, that he is quiet vulnerable to force lightning.

All things considered, my money is on Superman.

Incorrect, Sorry to bring this back Up. But Doomsday nearly Killed significantly more powerful Superman in there second fight in Hunter/Prey. and he would have killed him quickly if he didn't have help. even in their third fight in thr Doomsday Wars, Superman was owned big time.

Apparently not. After the "Our Worlds At War" story arc, in Superman #175, he knocked Doomsday on his arse i.e. unconsious and Doomsday's body was turned over to Darkseid. So much for Doomsday being a threat. You just have to wait for the next gimmick from DC.

What? You haven't heard of Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey, or the Doomsday Wars?

That was back when Dan Jurgens and the other DC writers actually cared about continuity. If you haven't read either I suggest you do. Both excellent reads. Both of them Doomsday completely owns Superman, but despite the fact that Superman can't beat him, he still fights. It's Superman at his best.[/img]

I don't see your point. "Our Worlds At War" is part of DC continuity. The fact that Doomsday died rather easily, the fact that Superman whooped Doomsday in Superman #175 has been canonized. I guess you have to argue with DC Comics.

I know that, I was just ranting about the current state of DC comics. It's come close to the Level (but not that Close) to how it was before the Crisis (or as bad as B&B). That why I haven't bought a Superman comic in years.
