Junkyard Wars The Rat Race

This time we are going to the Qualor II Surplus Yard! For you Trekkies I have finally found a place with home court advantage for you. Like in the other Junkyard wars scrapped Star Wars ships and "junk" are present in the junkyard. Also all teams will receive whatever EVE equiptment they need to allow them to seach through this space junkyard.

Data, Miles O'Brian, Georti La Forge, Commander Riker

Team Prequal
Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi, Watto, Jango Fett

Team Imperial/
Admirial Piett, General Veers, Bevel Lemkish, Grand Admirial Thrawn

Team Voyager
Janeway, Seven of Nine, B'Elanna Torres, Ensign Kim

Team Red Dwarf
The Cat, Rimmer, Kryton, Lister

Kristine Z. Kochanski is only there for moral support

The Project

The Teams need to build a space racer! Warp and Hyperdrives have been renoved from the yard as the race is to see who can build the fastest SUBLIGHT racer. As usual the teams have 1`0 hours to build and 1 hour before the race to tinker with thier racer. Once the racers are built they will be taken to Mars. the first race to reach Earth wins the Shiny Star Trek Junkyard Trophy.

Team Voyager, they built the Delta Flyer within a week, they can build a racer.

Gotta go with team star wars, you just can't beat Han and Chewie when it comes to junk, plus a force sensitive and 4 great fighters.

Team VOY might have a chance if you replaced Kim or Janeway with Paris, he did build the delta flyer.

They also had a big well-stocked space ship with countless working shuttlecraft from which to draw parts to help them. An ISD could probably assemble new TIEs out of spare parts in a couple hours.. Hell the US Army has done that with its vast stock of UH-1 parts.

I say Team Star Wars, all four members have extensive experiance keeping and building stuff on a shoe string budget.

That was kind of my point Team Voyager built the Flyer with new or manufatured parts. Here they have to build something out of junk! It may be mostly Star Fleet junk but it is still junk. And since FTL drives are illegal all of their wonder drives from the Delta Quadrent won't help them.

and yes hull of some YT-1300's and other Star Wars ships are here in order to make the contest as fair as possible. And the Falcon and the Slave 1 have been locked up in a secure location in order to curtail cheating!

Thats true, but my point was that Chewie and han could probaly do it all on their own. Skywalker would probaly just whine and get in the way, and mention some vauge reference to womp rats.

Most of Lukes experience seems to stem from repairing farm equipment and tweaking his old landspeeder. His experience with ground equipment doesn't nessisairly make him qualified to work on a spaceworthy craft.

Although your probaly right, he could help with the part gathering, rather than the actual construction.

He could help put the hull togather and since Star Wars Ion engines are a part of his Landspeeder he does have some experience with some of the hardware in question(albeite in much smaller forms). No Engineering experiance at all would be where a problem in this contest would arrise.

Also is it soft-light Rimmer or hard-light Rimmer?

It is a definite hot match between the Original series and the Team Star Wars Technically.

Both teams which have kept stuff working on shoestrings and elbow grease.

Yet, it is because the junkyard does not have much original series junk to work with the Star wars team will be able to take the lead. Next Gen has the worst reliability record far as working even when brand new.
