Sam and Max Season One?

Post by Mr Bean »

For those who've been following Sam and Max on Gametap, it's wrapped up not to long ago and been released as the first season. It's also landed on Steam for 26$, and I'm wondering, what people who've been playing it, think if it is worth it?

I have the full season, bought it directly from the dev for $39. Personally I think it's worth it, at about 2-3 hours per episode it's gotta be around 12-18 hours of gameplay. I got plenty of laughs from them. If you liked the original you'll love it. (The chance to decapitate Dubya alone is worth the price if you ask me :P)

I bought the whole season when it was released here, cost about £30 I think.

It was ok, not as great as the old Lucas arts game.

The reuse of the same 5-6 locations in each epersode seemed a bit of a let down but the changes each time made it Ok. Perhaps a bit short.

I'd probably give it 4/5.

As a big fan of the original game, I gobbled up these episodes. They were short but very entertaining, and I highly recommend them if you want a few hours to quality entertainment. A single episode is fairly short, but togather its at least 12 hours of gameplay depending on how quick you are at figuring out the puzzles.

Gametap is hosting Ep 4 for free, so you can try before you buy. I personally thought it was fantastic, and intend to get the rest.

I got it straight from Telltale games. The first episode was an interesting preamble, and quite an anti-fairy tale if you ask me.

For those who were looking into buying this game, Amazon just dropped the price to $20.

I might get it now.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."
