Yeah, technically that is how Zeon got ANYTHING off the ground back in UC. They may have had some outright weird designs, but they were not lacking in thrust output. Case in point: The two light Dopp fighters that towed the Apsalus into high altitude, the Gaw, and the Zanzibar Class.Shinn Langley Soryu wrote:I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed that fact.Commander 598 wrote:
The Tieren is the unholy spawn of a Zaku and some unnamed Battlemech.
Regarding how a Tieren can fly despite being one of the most unaerodynamic designs in all the Gundam universes, if you put enough power into it, even a brick can fly.
Back to AD, the Tieren is what I would expect of a competently designed Battlemech. It weighs over 120 tons and is designed for heavily ballistic weaponry and we all know how nasty autocannons are in Btech. Hrm...what would it be like in Btech terms?

Stop talking about fucking Battletech. This isn't some shitty world where machine guns explode with the force of bombs. Something bulky = Battletech *I'm a smarmy asshole*. Gawd. And it was Dodais that towed the Apsalus.

That was Tomino's bullshit idea and attempt to retcon everything including stuff he didn't make.Dark Hellion wrote:When they go through the Dark History during Turn A, we see clips from almost all previous AU sources. We see Wing, G Gundam, and Gundam X, and they are specifically said as being during the past. How it works is totally unknown through.
It doesn't work, as the AU series (regardless of quality) were never written to fit and so contradictions are everywhere.

Tomino hates Gundam :3
This latest episode is awesome. Jihad-Kun (Setsunna) has crazy Sarah Conner delusions! And the Chinese have Four Murasame Mk III! And Black Flag is awesome (at least 2x as fast!). Also Setsunna swimming to his Gundam is lol worthy. And I lolled at Ford Prefect comment on Graham. He does have the crazy eyes and he was coming to fuck Exia up the butt.

I actually like how the U.S. handled the situation, and how the president seemed to be very competent in his understanding of celestial beings actions.
It has some Turn A political elements to it, which was why I liked Turn A so much. What other series features a samurai who pilots giant robots getting politiced into a corner by an early 20th century gay black dude? Answer me that!

Turn A automatically wins for hilarious Loran crossdressing action.Dark Hellion wrote:I actually like how the U.S. handled the situation, and how the president seemed to be very competent in his understanding of celestial beings actions.

Nevermind that the scenario is much too hard for anyone with critical thinking skills to suspend their disbelief. Example: Nonrenewable resources, why haven't they run out?Sharp-kun wrote:That was Tomino's bullshit idea and attempt to retcon everything including stuff he didn't make.

And for the last outing of Tomino's old fashioned "kill 'em all" attitude, before he got soft and decided people didn't want to watch "depressing" anime.Darwin wrote:Turn A automatically wins for hilarious Loran crossdressing action.Dark Hellion wrote:I actually like how the U.S. handled the situation, and how the president seemed to be very competent in his understanding of celestial beings actions.

NICE SUPPORT!
This show is getting a little silly with loli super soldier girl and Allelujah having a more METAL personality called Hallelujah. And when can I get a toy of LOCKON's giant sniper rifle capable of hitting bits of a colony in orbit? Also Louise's tsundere princess act is pretty silly. This show just keeps getting better and better.

Hallelujah Haptism, huh? This show has all of the bestest names.VF5SS wrote:This show is getting a little silly with loli super soldier girl and Allelujah having a more METAL personality called Hallelujah.

Anyway, is it time for a Tieria-centered episode? Can we see why he seems to despise all of his co-workers, and more importantly, if he has any other clothes?

Ahh, so Allelujah and Soma were just experiencing an outbreaking of another personality in their minds? It seemed to me like they were trying to show they were having some kind psychic connection of eachothers minds like Newtypes or something like that and it was kind of grating on me the creators would throw something in like that so soon.

Well this show officially has a Jerrid in the form of Patrick. I lolled when he attempted to strafe Virtue and Tieria just said, "please say hello to my cannons" and totally punked him out of the sky. Overall this episode was very talkie. And it appears Felt is this show's technical minded pretty girl. And Billy has betrayed Graham for Sumeragi's breasts. Oh what a plot twist.
