Teenagers' body rhythms...
Everytime I'm on holiday, I never wake up earlier than 11am...at times I wake up at 1pm just in time for lunch. I've noticed that most teenagers are like that as well...the winner must be my friend who woke up thinking that it was sunrise, then slowly realising that is was sunSET.
Are you guys like that as well?

I remember one episode of that when I was mountainclimbing in Colorado. My team had taken a short nap before dinnertime and I was so tired from the day's climbing (we had crossed a pass about 500 feet high only a few hours ago). One of the women woke me up and told me it was 7AM, and we were making breakfast. Naturally, I was confused and dazed after getting out of sleep so quickly. Then I looked at my watch and it said "1934" (it's on 24-hour time). That was when I realized the joke she had played on me.

Im 31, and without any sort of schedule to adhere to I wake up between 9-10am. It was the same when I was a teen. I usually go to bed around 1am or so.
Im just naturally more of a evening person.
I think when you are a teen you do need extra sleep, but I dont buy into the idea of teens just cant wake up early. Assuming they have a schedule that is.

I've known someone who once slept through the whole day and woke up near the afternoon the next day. He still thought that it was the same day and at first didn't believe me when I told him that it was the next day.

I've been on an odd 9pm-6am schedule for most of January, only recently slipping back into my normal 2am-12pm schedule. It's a phenomenon amongst most teenagers and even people in their early twenties (me).
I don't know why it is, but it is. And I hate it when I get told that it's either abnormal or bad for me.

Getting up before 11 on holidays is a challenge for me... Only two things will get me up; work (money), and surfing (6am one and a bit hour drive, 6hrs non-stop, one badly burned suntan).

I actually tend to have a hard time sleeping more than 8 hours... which I find odd. Although getting up before that 8 hours is up is hell. School is hell... heh.
Speaking of rhythm... both my choir teacher and my band teacher (who used to also teach choir) said that in their all-girls choirs, the menstrual cycles would become synchronized over time... and that they'd ALL start getting bitchy at about the same time, which led to some nastiness at times.

Mine varies greatly. I'm up at about 6:45 every weekday morning. But that's about all that's consitant.

I'm 17, and I have trouble falling asleep before Midnight or 1 AM. Although I can (and do) run through a normal day on about six hours of sleep, ideally, I would stay up 'til 1 AM, then go to bed and wake up around 10:30 or 11.

On weekends, I get 12-13 hrs. of sleep or wake up at noon, whichever comes first. On school days, I get up at 7:30 (my classes don't start until 8:45; I love my school's scheduling system).

I'm just the opposite. I have great difficulty staying awake past midnight or so, and usually get up at about 8:00 AM.kheegan wrote:Everytime I'm on holiday, I never wake up earlier than 11am...at times I wake up at 1pm just in time for lunch. My sleeping patterns vary. At the moment, I'm usually awake when my alarm goes off at 8. If Rojomu's here, we'll both sleep til about 11 (he's the owl, I'm the lark)
