Yes, it's another Children In Need Doctor Who special, coming up in the next hour on BBC1. Right now Maid Marian's tits are doing a sketch, which is the next best thing I suppose.

I wonder if it'll follow on from the last cliffhanger.

Ok for a short episode but not great

Made Davidson's doctor look thick taking ages to figure out that he was talking to himself and seemed rather more beligerent than he normally was.

Only time I can think of that a doctor remembers a multi-doctor story from his other selves perspective.

I liked the line that davidson was his favourite doctor because hes mine

Moffat wrote it, so that's a guarantee for quality. Cute nuggets:

-Celery!
-The Tardis' interior has a desktop theme. The current one is "Coral" and apparently, the "Leopard" one sucks

-And the ship had to be rebuilt after LotTL. Unsurprisingly.

It was a bit too short, but what was there was really funny and the tribute to the Fifth Doctor was heartfelt. Very good for a charity special.

To be fair, he was trying really hard not to blast a hole the size of Belgium in the space-time continuum. That would preoccupy him a bit.

The BBC one isn't working, but I found it on youtube anyway. Rather enjoyable, be alas could have been a bit longer.

It happens just before the Titanic rams into the TARDIS at the end of Last of the Time Lords.

It helps to explain how that happened as well, just a little.

DW canon is a fluid concept, but the last CiN special was part of it. You don't need to see the specials to follow the regular episodes as nothing really happens in them.

To be honest I thought the first children in need special (the post regeneration one) was much better and more vital plot wise than this one.

The first one reintroduced the key concepts of regeneration and gave time for rose (and the audience) to get the idea that the new doctor was not the same as the previous doctor but was the same person.

The first Children in Need Special was slightly more "straight" than this year's, with more footage from "The Parting of the Ways" and the recently arrived Tenth Doctor saying a throw away line about the newly ressurrected Jack rebuilding a Dalek wrecked future Earth. The cloister bell was sounded as well (I wonder if we get to see in a TARDIS-centric future episode?).

After seeing "Time Crash" I'm wishing for a whole episode set within the weird confines of the TARDIS' chambers and passage ways to be made.

It would cool that deep within the TARDIS' bowls the "desktop" has not be changed to coral, so the architecture of the rooms and corridors would be unchanged since the 60s, 70s, and 80s, with the old school technology, architecture, and furniture melding in with the 00s TARDIS architecture (think that TOS-era Feddie starship from Enterprise or DS9's "Trials and Tribble-ations").

Maybe we could bring back the Family of Blood, with Doctor releasing all of them, trying to rehabilitating them, and the Doctor making up for being so cruel to them the first time round...
