T. Boone Pickens: Lying Chickenshit Bastard

Since the Republitards are getting ready to gin up their slime machine for the elections next year, they've been trying to whitewash the lies and other bullshit they've pulled in past elections. First David Brooks tries to claim that Von Reagan wasn't really race-baiting when he went to Mississippi and told the assembled crackers that he was on their side and for states' rights. How he explains Von Reagan's lipsmacking fairy tales about welfare queens in Cadillacs, and a "strapping young buck" buying T-bone steaks with food stamps" and Von Reagan's support for Apartheid... Oh that's right, he can't. That's not a problem for a lying douchebag like David Brooks, who can simply lie about it without consequences.

Now we have corporate parasite T. Boone Pickens at a convention for American Spectator, a favorite publication for the semen-crusted Right, offering a million dollar reward for anyone who can show where the Shit Boaters lied about John Kerry. Before I could type a letter asking this asshole "Want 'em all or just the top ten?", Kerry himself took up the challenge. Since Pickens is both stupid and a lying fucktard, he is now (surprise!) moving the goalposts to avoid coughing up the money he owes:

In order to disprove the accuracy of the Swift Boat ads, I will ultimately need you to provide the following:

1) The journal you maintained during your service in Vietnam.
2) Your military record, specifically your service records for the years
1971-1978, and copies of all movies and tapes made during your
service.


When you have done so, if you can then prove anything in the ads was materially untrue, I will gladly award $1 million. As you know, I have been a long and proud supporter of the American military and veterans' causes. I now challenge you to make this commitment: If you cannot prove anything in the Swift Boat ads to be untrue, that you will make a $1 million gift to the charity I am choosing -- the Medal of Honor Foundation.

Pickens' gauntlet has just hit the floor and he's already trying to pussy out before anyone can pick it up. What an asshole.

Wait, he's now demanding that Kerry pay up $1,000,000 to a "charity" if he cannot prove that Pickens lied in his bullshit Swiftboat ads, and the lying fucktard is the one who get's to decide whether the proof was sufficient? Aside from the fact that some of the records and "movies" would almost certainly be lost, what prevents him from just saying "I don't think this is everything, you lose?"

What Kerry needs to do is agree to the $1,000,000 stipulation, but then demand that each of them put the money into escrow and allow an impartial mediator to look at the evidence and make a determination, no appeals allowed, whereupon the money is released to the charity.

There is precedent for that. Many years ago, a holocaust denier group (IHR) offered a cash reward to anyone who could prove that the Nazis had gassed Jews at Auschwitz. Mel Mermelstein, whose family had been gassed at Auschwitz, took up the challenge. When IHR tried to pull the same shit Pickens is trying now in order to not pay up, Mermelstein sued and won. There was a TV movie made about the case with Dabney Coleman and Leonard Nimoy.

The celebrated case of Mel Mermelstein versus the IHR is an excellent example of this issue. In 1979, the Institute for Historical Review , at its annual convention, offered a $50,000 reward to anyone who could step forward and prove that there were gas chambers at Auschwitz and that any Jews were gassed there. In 1980, a Jewish survivor of Auschwitz-Birkenau, Auschwitz prisoner A-4685, answered the challenge by presenting affidavits detailing the deaths of his mother, father, brother and two sisters at the camp. The IHR refused to pay the reward so Mr. Mermelstein sued the Institute. The case never actually went to trial. Both sides agreed to a summary judgment by the court, and the court decided for Mel Mermelstein.

The Honorable Thomas T. Johnson, on October 9, 1981, took judicial notice as follows:

"Under Evidence Code Section 452(h), this court does take judicial notice of the fact that Jews were gassed to death at the Auschwitz Concentration Camp in Poland during the summer of 1944" and "It just simply is a fact that falls within the definition of Evidence Code Section 452(h). It is not reasonably subject to dispute. And it is capable of immediate and accurate determination by resort to sources of reasonably indisputable accuracy. It is simply a fact."

Since Pickens' offer is to anyone who can demonstrate a single lie told by the Shit Boaters, I think people should send certified letters to the little fucktard, each with one Shit Boat lie. Then file class-action lawsuits when he refuses to pay up. The Shitties offer so many lies to choose from that even with duplication, T. Boone Pickens could end up like Navin Johnson in The Jerk.
