Who would win?
Who would win in an hypothetic space battle between Admiral Daala and Capt. Janeway? Ok, I don't like them much, but I'm just curious about what you think about this.
For the sake of the VS argument, let's say that they have a similar fleet of similar strenght. Like each one as a fleet of 3 ISD with full fighters squadrons. ST and SW tech isn't an issue here. We just want to know which is the best officer in combat situation. Let's say Janeway knows how to use SW tech.
I think Janeway will find a way to invent a new technobable, but would be unable to use it against Daala.
Daala would find a way to loose an ISD to a tie bomber, and would probably become so angry that she would charge toward Janeway using his two remaining ISD. Then.... it's all about cold blooded calculation vs pure rage.
I can't tell who's gonna be the winner.
So, what's your opinion? Who would win?

Gauging Admiral Daala's abilities is difficult because she so rarely directed a group of ships in combat. I think that Janeway is approximately equivalent to Daala once actually in combat, but I also think that Daala is a far better organizer/motivator (on the other hand, Janeway was able to get the Maquis to seamlessly integrate themselves into her crew with absolutely no difficulty, or even apparent effort.). I think that if I was trying to appoint an officer to a fleet, I would pick Daala, but I also think that Janeway is a slightly better officer once actually in combat, despite how much I hate her.

Well Daala's disadavantge is that all of her Brillant Moves and Ideas, Well Tarkin used them all and because of this everybody wrote them down so when she used them aginst the NR they where able to go, Oy! I know what's she's doing Check the Tarkin hand-book and she whats she's doing ahead of time
Janeway does not have this advantage and considering some of the Bone-head moves she's pulled in the past I think she would quickly defeat her-self

You also have to remember that Daala's troops were quite loyal to her, because she focused on destroying the NR, then rebuilding the Empire, rather than petty squabbling. I'd always wonder who killed off the warlords. Anyway, Janeway doesn't have troops willing to die for her. Thus, at some point, Janeway's troops mutiny and flee.

Janeway simply doesn't have the prowless that Daala has. Janeway is an incompetent hack. It would be truly amazing that Voyager got back home at all if it wasn't for the "saving grace" of Dumb & Dumber producing the show.
Daala wouldn't have to do a thing, Janeway would simply destroy her own forces somehow, or, as someone already said, cause them to mutiny.
Of course, I can always do my perverted thread hijack and say that they begin a hot lesbian relationship, but the thought of Kate Mulgrew in any sexual act is simply too much for any mind - even mine - to bear
