Do I really need to comment?
Well jointstrikefighter. The sailors were not in rubber speedboats as you said, they were in a patrol boat. They let the Iraqis board them and kidnap the six sailors.

So next time you go calling someone an idiot, get your facts strait.

P.S. "You sir an Idiot" is bad grammar. Try checking it next time.
What it all boils down to is that we need our solders to be strong enough to stand up for the nation and say NO to the enemy! If their not, what’s the point? Ohhhhhh the mean enemy solders are pointing guns at us!!!!! We must give in to their demands! Tell me, would you feel safe with an army like that protecting you?
It’s been proven that the British did the right thing by surrendering. (I was misinformed about their situation). However, the British sailors caved in and helped the Iraqis spread their propaganda!
Think we can squeeze in another VI for the week?

We don't title on the basis of one thread. That's the tradition.

You mean aside from this thread?
As in spirit I mean something we can't detect as of yet. Perhaps we merely can't see what make us intelligent.
I was referring to what makes us more intelligent than animals.
He's a moron, and really going "Well one thread alone.". I mean did you read the sheer GI Joe cumstained wanking? I mean fuck, that shit alone warrants the title if nothing else. Most of his other yabbering has been first time jitters or plain babbling bullshit.

As much as I'd like to believe he was being ironic when he misused the word "strait" in the same post he was chiding another for poster for bad grammar, I don't.

We like to take a little more time than six hours in the middle of the night (for most posters) to run the discussion before we make the vote thread, especially because only the one thread was cited as evidence. No, Spyder, it doesn't sound like support for a vote poll, it sounds like you jumping the goddamn gun.

Also, I did look at his other posts which you apparently think make him worthy of a VI, and they're strictly garden variety and not even worthy of note. The thing about the soul is him being a credulous fool and not really able to form a strong argument, fine, but it isn't VI-worthy. On its own that thread would never even have drawn real attention to him. You're just reaching for justification because he pissed you off in one thread. So yeah, it does come down to one example of him being exceptionally stupid. Moreover, he has a fucking post-count of thirty. I'm pretty sure we can afford to wait until he goes one way or the other.

The reason it's a tradition instead of a rule is we expect the Senators to be able to keep it in their pants for more than thirty seconds. The Senate was created in part because all the public ban polls we used to do were completely farcical, anyone proposed for a ban would get voted into the trashbin with a 90% margin. So show some restraint, guys. Anybody can be stupid once or twice, especially a fucking newbie with less than thirty posts. He'll have plenty of opportunity to earn it later, so let's wait for him to actually earn it.

Shit, when Shep and Teddy-boy tried to get me titled many many years ago, it was the most terrifying moment of my participation in the board, because nobody had ever gotten off before, period. The threads were all 80 - 90% in favour of banning or titling before then. I think my performance in thread was probably the best that I've ever pulled off in my whole time here, up to and including my minor involvement in the Shit Molecule thread back on ASVS.

Sometimes people will in fact get dragged before the Senate who don't deserve anything to happen to them, and I've probably done it myself. The senate should be educated enough that the majority will recognize this in the cases that it does happen, and, yes, I don't feel the poll was really warranted here at all, either.

Pablo pretty much summed up my sentiment of the thread. We're starting to get enough of a repeat history of this to piss me off, and its getting to the point where I will simply object to things like this to slow some fo you the fuck down. Repoman I understood and I think was warranted. Lyzerious, while seeming like a fool, has't actually given himself *quite* enough rope to hang himself (though he's well on his way)

As I've said before, he ain't going anywhere. Either he'll shape up (or at least merge back into the woodwork with the namelss masses), he'll dig himself deeper, or he'll leave. There's nothing wrong with bringing a discussion about him up, because at the very least, it serves as ample warning that the guy should take notice of his own behaviour. If he doesn't, well..he'll be back here then.

AS an addendum if anyone is wondering why they haven't gotten a PM regarding this vote it goes to procedure not being followed. I won't declare the vote invalid on the face of it but neither will I engage in the normal notifcation process when the rest of the process has been bypassed.
