Please enlighten me on how I've been such a troll. I've done nothing in this thread but be consistant in defending myself against strawmen and ad hominems. I probably came on a bit strong in my first response to PeZook, but this "you can't have an opinion just based on this one article" shit is is fucking retarded.

As far as spamming goes, I'll admit that I've been a bit fast and loose with my posts lately, but I've been trying to make sure there is enough substance in them.

The only one I've seen making strawmen is you. PeZook's first post was neutral in tone and completely factual. Dark Hellion's likewise. I saw nothing on the first page that was making any sort of strawmen of what you said or making personal attacks on you. They did say they thought you were jumping to conclusions based on the evidence available.

Your response to them was to tell them to go fuck themselves with a chainsaw. Then, on the second page, you again pull out all the stops on the flamethrower in response to a very reasonably worded post that appeared on the first page and it all goes downhill from there. You fly off the handle and accuse PeZook and Dark Hellion of lying and distorting what you said and making personal attacks without a shred of evidence that this is the case and everyone can actually see what took place since editing posts is disabled in N&P. This thread having gone down the shitter is entirely your fault and the only post where you actually have a point is flaming Dark Hellion with the post that has the crybaby pic in it. I've read over the thread several times. The only place I think I was wrong was my response to PeZooks first post, but only in that I overreacted due to me taking a dim view of people that tell others they shouldn't form an opinion because they don't think there are enough facts.

They claimed several times that I was blindly judging the kids as guilty despite the fact that I clearly stated that my opinion was based solely on the information in the article and I was willing to change it upon more information becoming available. They went on to insinuate that I'm somehow a racist Bush loving warmonger. Virtually every single post of theirs directed at me from the second page onwards was littered with strawmen and ad hominems.

I'll be the first to admit that at times I'm blind to my argument being full of shit until it's made very plain to me by those smarter than I am. If I'm wrong in this, I will concede it and shut the fuck up. But I don't see how I am.

Dark Hellion applied the kind of logic you seemed to be operating on and made the Iraq comparison, which was skirting on both sides of the edge of being a strawman, but that was the only one. And it was accompanied by a note about your sig picture and skepticism of authority in this thread being ratehr at odds. You took that and ran away with it to level accusations of ad hominems and strawmen at both him and PeZook, when they would have been more appropriate at Dark Hellion alone and you yourself contributed to the situation in a pretty damned big way. No surprise the gloves came off after that.

Hey Numb-nuts, the only information given in the article indicates that the case is being made entirely on the basis of the girl's accusation. There is no mention of physical evidence whatsoever. What the fuck article did you think you were reading? And don't give me that "I assume there's more evidence because the police charged her" bullshit; that is an assumption, not a "fact" from the "article" as you keep saying.

Well, they had the accusation of rape and physical evidence that there had been intercourse. Those combined provide enough of a reasonable basis for them to be arrested and charged.

The fact that the DNA later came back as not matching them is why the charges should have been immediately dropped. That and the victims changing story.

If it turns out that all the cops have in this case is an accusation and nothing else, then it's a fucking joke. I'll be the first one to admit that.

If that's the case, then I'll concede that. I find it hard to believe that cops would move to arrest them if the only evidence against them is her word against theirs. But that's probably a limitation on my part.
