King Ghidorah vs. the Federation Constitution-Class ship

Post by Majin Gojira »

Limited trek knowledge, but I believe the enterprise (under Kirk) is a Constitution-class vessle.

Anyway, the Situation:

On some Stardate durring the Original Series run, The Enterprise enounters the Cerasini King Ghidorah (from the novel "Godzilla 2000") heading on a direct course for an inhabited Federation world. They are ordered to engage the Space Demon.

Stats for King GHidorah Cerasini:
Height (from Feet to highest head): 150m
Total Body Length: approx. 300m
wingspan: 175m
Speed: in air: Mach 3 sustained, Space speed unknown, if at all dissimilar. Traveled from just outside earths atmosphere to near the earths surface in "Minutes", took it 7 minutes in space to reach MIR from an asteroid swarm that had just been hit with nuclear weapons (minimum safe distance for MIR to be in an operation like that).
Weight: 77,000 tons
Abilities: Survive in space (for some reason), 3 independant energy beams described by toho as 'Gravity beams' and cerasini as "Pure Energy", Yeild is something greater than Godzilla's average blasts. along the lines of 2-3 Kilotons per second if g's red beam is much stronger than his normal blasts, or 5kt per second if they are normal blasts just altered in coloration by his current state. Naturally radioactive. Withstood G's beam several times

Notes: Cerasini Ghidorah seems to be a "best of all" ghidorahs with the mannerisms and evil of Showa, the size of Heisie and extreme power.

How does the battle go? How well does the Enterprise do? How much Damage would Ghidorah inflict?

Well considering the fact that Heisei Goji's breath, which looks like a lit fart compared to Burning Goji's beam, slice off KG's head and is signifigantly less than a kiloton/sec, I'd give this to he enterprise assuming that she can put out more than a kt/sec. And from what I've heard, she can.

Diffferent version of Ghidorah. this one lost its center head as well, though it lost it to a 'shipkiller' missle with a hypodermic point (it got in between the scales of its neck).

He takes three looks at the ship (one for each head), says, "You know, even vs. Gigan had better special effects than that", and flies away laughing.
Don't hate; appreciate!

I can't imagine even Captain Kirk winning against such a monstrosity as King Ghidorah.

1 photon Torp. = 56 Megatons. It dies. Quickly

Also dare I ask what the fuck this beastie is?

Is this standard Bio-ship fare?

What is to stop the enterprise beaming a Photon Torp into it's brain?

No, it's a creature like Godzilla, not a bioship.

Ghidora's scales are made of the transporter-inhibiting material of the week.

He doesn't, he doesn't, and he doesn't. Ghidorah is a single monster with his own brain, he doesn't carry other people around inside him, and no one has a set of controls in some cockpit to tell him where to go and what to do.

Kaiju tend to opperate differntly from normal organisms. I mean, in order to exists, they need to be armored like a tank just to stand up in an earth-like atmosphere.

And Ghidorah can survive and fly in space.

Hell, if Organic ships were using Kaiju DNA, they'd be much better off.

If anyone wants a closer description of Ghidorah, I can inform you that he's a gigantic, three-headed dragon.

Oh goody. It's still a Bio Beastie. Though the discrpancy between KT and MT should be enough.

So? My original point still stands: KG heads get blown off by sub-kiloton weaponry

And here's a picture for those who don't know.

I think it's been concluded. Ghidorah is killed. one hit.

Now, wonder how well he'd do against the NC-01....

That fight I think Ghidorah can pull off.

Could someone refresh my memory? What was the yield of that bomb that nearly killed the NX and at what distance?

And what's their phaser yield again?
