I knew about the malfunction world shaping, but not this. Thank you, Battlehymn.

There was also a Vong that joined the pirate crew Cade and Jariah were in. He taught Jariah how to use Vong weaponry and gadgets, according to Legacy 17.

Zonoma Sekot fled deeper into the Unknown Regions when the Sith-Imperial War broke out, stranding many Yuuzhan Vong in the rest of the galaxy. As for their tech, it sells pretty well on the black market. There's also the problem of Vong plantlife infecting people in the lower city slums on planets like Coruscant.

So, how big a role does the Mandalorians play in the novel (considering that Traviss seems to be the only author of this series who is harping on them).

I trhink the most we hear of the Mandalorians is that Cade's shirt, which is supposed to be some kind of armorweave, is of Mandalorian make.

Did you completely miss the part where he said "novel"?

In regards to the Legacy issue brought up a few posts back, a couple of weeks ago I emailed in a question to Dark Horse to try and get into the question section of the Legacy comics. I asked whether if we will see any new imperial ships beyond the Pellaeon-class Star Destroyer and that Imperial frigate. To my surprise I got answer about an hour later from Randy Stradley and he said:

"As a matter of fact, in issues #20-21, you'll see a major space battle between Imperial and Galactic Alliance forces which will feature a number of new, or little seen ships. We'll also unveil the "Advanced Star Destroyer" (as we're currently referring to it)."

Something to look forward to.

Hmm, wonder if they'll follow the original route of the Executor's development and make it the same size, just faster?

Either way, thanks for the news! 8)

Alright, I know the two week rule. However, due to finals, I was unable to even touch the book until the ride back into San Francisco a few days back. So, my thoughts on the seventh LOTF book:

Overall, a decent final entry from Allston, though it felt more like filler in many respects. Still, some funny parts, especially Tycho and Wedge's advice on diplomacy and, at long last, Centerpoint going boom. Would have loved to have seen the fan outcry if Jacen had managed to kill Kyle Katarn).

Katarn's in this book? Details please, for an innocent fan who's boycotting the series out of financial apathy :)

Katarn leads a team of Jedi onto Coruscant with the apparent intention of killing Jacen. The attack fails, killing one Jedi and leaving Katarn seriously wounded. However, it transpires that the assassination was a feint; the purpose was to get close enough to Jacen to plan a tracker on his cloak (to counter-act his ability to mask his Force presence and track his movements).

If they got close enough to place a tracker on his cloak they should have gotten close enough to place a termal-detonator, too.

... Unless they plan to suicide bomb. A Jei's danger sense would alert him to such a device well ahead of time.

And a tracker wouldn't?

So, they were able to find him WITHOUT the tracker, to place a tracker on a piece of clothing he might take off, so they'd be able to find him? So what are they going to do later with the aid of the tracker that they couldn't do when they PLACED the tracker?

Jesus.....

Who's writing this shit? Fuck, page Clive Cussler and get him to write a SW novel. It'll be ridiculous but at least it will be readable.
