Yeah... So I didn't even know about the "RB" menu until about 2/3 through my second play through on Hardcore. Don't ask me how I missed it or never just accidentally pressed it.

No wonder you guys were bitching about it being too easy.

Didn't you read the manual?

Vendetta, I must be comparing high/low level Mercenary and Predators, then. The Predator H I've got for the soldier is ridiculous shields.

Actually has anyone worked out what the go with the shield 'boxes' is? You can max them out pretty fast, but then they must scale it. So why not just use a goddamn bar? Why have the half-length ones later? They don't even scale them compared to the highest shield: Anton and Ashley both have full boxes, and Ashley has ~200 more shields.

EDIT - haha, the cutscene where man Shepard has a woman's body never ceases to amuse.

So there is a hard limit on how many shield points a character can have? What is it?

No what I'm saying is tthat there appears to be a hard limit on how many shield points the shield thing can display before it distorts (ie, guy with 150shield has about 3 boxes, guy with 700shield has six). I don't know why they used a variable length bar at all, really.

Also, I'm using the Spartan-7 AR now and, so long as you're skilled, you can fir full auto indefinately without accuracy penalty. That makes the other rifles even more useless than the other Spartan weapontypes, as they have massive conefire after a few rounds.

The post-Liara cutscene. When you're back on Normandy, and everyone is all 'zomg she can mindmeld etc', all the shots of Shepard have him, arms crossed, giant man-head on tiny woman body. Inoticed it my first playthrough, but it's only after running through with a female character I realised they funked the gender of the body. How embarrasment! :)

Yeah, there are two sets of armour called "Predator", one ordinary Predator, and one with a letter after it. The ones with the letter come in three flavours, L, M, and H, and have silly shields, highest in the game for each class for shields and tech protection.

I don't know why, probably some kind of interstellar trademark dispute.

Also, what is this "manual" you speak of? We'll have no witchcraft here! (Yeah, I didn't find out you could zoom in in the Mako until my second game)

Fun Tip: In Clora's Den on the Citadel, pull out the sniper rifle and scope onto the first stripper/dancer as you go in... Pan to the ass and witness the joy that is the butthole.

No shit. When I mentioned Predator L/Ms earlier, I wasn't talking about landing modules.

I think it's awesome that you guys are both too lazy to read the manual and too lazy to even try the buttons. :)

Enh, It makes games more fun for me. I just start playing. It is awesome though.
I went through the first playthrough just using the rifle. And the second just the pistol and sniper. Now that I got to Insanity, I started getting the achievements for all the powers. So it actually makes repeat playthroughs a little more fun since I still have stuff to do. actually, you know what... It was 2/3 through my third playthough that I actually hit the RB button. The first was on veteran, then a hardcore that didn't get me insanity, and then the hardcore that I just got insanity on was the first one I pressed it on. Wow. That is awesome laziness!

It's pretty dumb, really. But then you zoom in on videogame strippers, so... :o

PS Saren on insane has utterly mad shields. A full three shots from three fully trained guys with shield-drainer is about half one of his boxes. FUCKING HALF. And then, halfway, he gets his all back! HUZ FUCKING ZAH.

No, I don't. It's not my fault you have to project on others to deal with your uncontrollable compulsion. :o

Have you finsihed your Insane run yet? Sadly it gets easy again once the decent equipment comes out, but Saren is fucking nutso. And Ass Effect has sucked out my will to play, so I can't handle it for more than half an hour at a time. I'll try again after toast. :D

My Adept would have been great for him then.

Lift has a shorter cooldown than the effect time.

Um, yeah, I already said with bios he's easy. The whole fight took about thirty seconds with bios. With NO bios and a goddamn map error that stops you backing around the cover 50% of the time, he's fucking hard.

Doesn't help I don't have any HE either. Only time I've ever wanted the filthy stuff.

EDIT - fucking done. The simple expedent of staying on the metal walkway instead of the Clipping Error Entrapment Grass made it easy, if longwinded. If only the game was long enough to have more fights like that, instead of 'oh noes Geth prime' and the silly Benezia fight.

EDIT2 - does anyone know if the Geth dropship on the Citadel tower has unlimited Geth in it? The ones you run into later usually flee after you kill enough guys, but I killed 20+ there last time to whore for levels.

I'll punch through a bunch of it on Insanity tonight. I'm not allowing myself to buy any equipment and only relying on what I find and also not using the RB menu again to try to make it more fun. I think if I play through again, which I doubt, I'm going to limit my skill points to half for each skill.

As far as I can tell that is an infinite enemies spot. If you don't turn on the cannons and don't shoot at the drop ship they go on for at least 15-20 minutes, which was how long it took me before I got bored and blasted the thing.

Frankly, the stuff you buy is useless anyway. The only gun I've ever bought was a Thunder 4 I bought on Feros on Insanity: it had accuracy 17 compared to accuracy zero, so it allowed me the miracle of hitting targets. :)

Cool, if you've sat there for ages, that's neat. I'm never, ver playing this game again, so I'll camp Anton there until he gets level 60. I just restarted and he needs like 250,000xp lol. :D
