Ah, good. So I'm not the only one who sees it.

Detonate the power source of the Authority's Carrier, overwriting the universe the Assassin is in, after transfering myself to a separate universe beforehand.

Oh and BTW how does the EDust find me through the SOP Field backed up by a No-Field(Which according to Dune-verse Lore removes whatever is inside of it "out of the unvierse entirely")

My knowledge is a bit fuzzy but here's what I can come up with:

It's an assassin unit, made up of tiny nanites. Essentially it's like the T-1000, able to become different things and people---yet it can also form weapons and such. Also has the standard Culture weapons complement: effectors, displacers, etc.

These nanites can come together to form something or it can spread out into a nanite cloud and drift around like a cloud of smoke.

Edust stands for Everything Dust. Just another weird Culture acronym.
:)
So, against something like that you're fucked.

Still not a clear victory. If the EDust retains the element of surprise, it can effectorize the other 2 EDusts befoe they can react.

Have a very nice day.

Question: How would you defend yourself against an EDust assassin?

Or are you trying to make some sick and twisted point about there being no defense?

Oh there are defences, just nobody seems to have hit on them. You have to be pretty damn good. I of course had a good defence by having an ROU look out for me.

I'd say using the Excession itself was a tad overdoing it.

Using the Excession to defend you is akin to getting Q to make sure you don't get a hangnail.

Hehe, yeah. So really the Excession should be under omnipotents since its power is undefinable.

Well, I had a good defense, but you can be forgiven for not knowing that due to the general ignorance about my universe.

The warship I described could destroy your ROU with minimal effort.

I happen to have a cybernetic mouse that can destroy your ships with ease due to it being specifically made to do so. :)

Hence my disliking of uber personal universes made to counter the Culture or Xeelee or anything.

Unlike Valdemar and his mouse, I am not trying to specifically make things more uber than everyone else. I personally detest such things. Their power is due to the speed with which they advance and their age, but they are by no means omnipotent and they never will be.

Ask a Culture drone not to attack the EDust, then when it begins to slaughter me, effectorize my brain and transfer my consciousness into its brain and RUUUUUUUUUUNNN !!!!!!

That or have a ROU or GOU ( or even GCU since they apparently have better sensors ) protect me.

Or SUBLIME. I don't ask an omnipotent being to protect me, I become one.

It's supposedly an Elench ship like the ones that found the Excession and promptly got 0wn3d. Though if you look closely you can see other smaller vessels on the cover too, maybe GCUs or probes?

Sitting aboard a fully war capable GSV wasn't a defense? I posted that on page one, along with the idea of mass-downloading my consciousness.

It did turn up I think, but the 90,000+ T units were not purely for it's own use. :D
