I can't draw the damn guy. His "look" eludes me. Sure I could copy someone like Jim Lee or Brian Bolland, but I want my own Bat-Man. My solution? Go back to the original, 'cause if I have to use or copy someone it might as well be Kane's right? So that's what I did. Kane, but with a little Bolland thrown in, just for a few little details.
I think I am close to something I like, but I need some feedback from the Bat-Man experts.
First, here are some sketches...
Here are some more finished drawings, Robin and Nightwing included.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

The ears are too spread apart (the long ears are more of a Batman Beyond thinggy), they look more devil-ish than bat-ish. And his nose is too pointy. Aside from that, it's pretty good.
"DO YOU WORSHIP HOMOSEXUALS?" - Curtis Saxton (source) shroom is a lovely boy and i wont hear a bad word against him - LUSY-CHAN! Shit! Man, I didn't think of that! It took Shroom to properly interpret the screams of dying people - PeZook Shroom, I read out the stuff you write about us. You are an endless supply of morale down here. :p - an OWS street medic Pink Sugar Heart Attack!
Other than the ears looking a little off, though reminiscent of JLU Batman, and him having stubble. That's a damned awesome Batman.
And the stubble doesn't look bad. It just that since Batman's alter-ego is a playboy billionaire and I can't imagine Bruce Wayne's chin ever looking that disreputable.
How can 'the' symbol suck when there's four different variations of it in the sketches? None of which, by the way, looks all that bad.
As for the stubble I've looked that way on quite a number of occasions in costume, and even once or twice as Bruce Wayne, in the comics.
As others have pointed out the ears are canted outwards too much and I'd appreciate it if you dropped the phone dial belt buckle but otherwise I rather like it.
As for the ears being on the longish side being a BB thing, NML, Homecoming. Next.

'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

Ears, also, I don't think his jawline should be so pronounced. Make it blend into the shadows more, like the mask is a fabric draped over his face and less like it's form fitted latex (B&R).
These two are what I'm inspired from. This Bat-man has always been in my mind.

You might want to elaborate on that because so far it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. What has the jawline got to do with the mask being fabric as opposed to form fitted latex when the mask doesn't COVER the jawline to begin with?

I don't think you need to make it look like any other artist's rendition of Bats.
However, I've come to notice that you need to work on your chin variations. Now all your males (and Jennifer Walters) seem to have the same type of chin structure. Currently, most of your males look like the standard Jim Lee hero artwork, which is fine if you do only one character per picture. It would be great if you could vary them between people you illustrate.
My suggestion is you practice making caricatures of people with too big a chin and no chin (front view and side view) and then try drawing everything in between. When you're used to these and have them in your repertoire, variations will come naturally.
This practice suggestion works not just for chins, but for any human anatomy. (Well, it did for me. I'm hoping it'll help you as well.)

The second of those ALREADY no longer has the dash, you know.

Well most of what I post are just sketches, done in 10-40 minutes. When I'm in full on Havok Art Go Mode (TM) That ceases to be a problem.
It's funny that you bring that up though, because while JL is my favorite artist, it certainly isn't for his faces. All his girls look the same, and while his heroes have some variation, mostly thin, muscular and medium, ALL his badguys use the same face.
I actually have a little book of faces, in which once I settle on what I want someone to look like, they go into for reference, just so I don't have that problem.

That is really bugging you isn't it?

I'm not sure it amounts to bugging but it DOES miff me

Your Batman is pretty awesome. I think your Robin is even more on the mark; that Robin is a solid 9.5 out of 10.
I've always liked Robin with more of the flat top look. Makes more sense too; it's hard to grab on to someone's hair in a fight when they don't have much.
I still like your Lobo pic best though... The one where he took out the X Men. Bad ass.

Aside from that "horns on the cape" thing, I actually rather like the Batman you have in the OP of your drawing thread.
Oh, and if you're going to draw Robin, please for the love of Ra's al Ghul give him pants.

Glad you like it. I hate it. I don't even know why I posted it.
And no way dude. Dick Grayson gets undies.
