Future-Predator vs Utahraptor (Primeval)

Post by Zor »

An adult Future-Predator from episode six and an adult Utahraptor are deposited in a 30 meter wide circular ring surrounded by a 10 meter tall concrete wall. Both are rather hungry.

I'm thinking Predator from Predator and a Utahraptor as a dinosaur.

I thought that too but the episode six bit made me think again. There's only two Predator movies and one AVP, perhaps he's referring to a comic.

How much is actually known about an average Utahraptor's capabilities?

I applied some Google-fu and found it, here's a link for the Future-Predator, it's from a UK series called Primeval

Basically, its like the Raptors from the Jurassic Park movie, but a little bit bigger.

I think the arena might work against the future predator, they are stealth / ambush predators that almost have an invisibility cloak but not quite. A small featureless arena puts it at a definite disadvantage.

Y'know, almost everything about the future-predator is probable misinformation by an insane bitch. It doesn't infact seem to be invisible at all, it's just sneaky as hell. It's just agile and aggressive - even her retarded claims of it's 'intelligence' don't really pan out. She just said what she needed to to make them do what she wanted.

It's only real attributes are steath, speed and occasional bullet-deflecting character shields.

BTW making threads like this with absolutlely no references for almost-unknown stuff is fucking bullshit.

Having never heard of either the future-predator or the show it's from, I had to crash-educate myself with stuff I found on the Internet. But from what I've read, it doesn't appear to be significantly more or less formidable than a large dromaeosaurid. Answer: Who knows.

An empty lit ring is going to take away a major advantage of the Future Predator, mainly because it hunts by sound and could thus hide in the dark or cover if that was available.

Otherwise, the thing is damn fast. It'd probably be like when it fought the Gorgonopsid in Primeval, tear the crap out of it's enemy unless the enemy manages to get a couple of good blows in.
