Question regarding .wmv file downloads

I can't seem to be able to download and view .wmv files from websites. I can view .mpgs with my Quicktime, but I can't download .wmv files. The Download window won't open and though the winamp pops up, there won't be any videos or anything at all.

Can anyone help me?

Is this from any website? Or just one website in particular? Maybe your browser is set to block certain types of media?

Download as in 'right click, save target as' or download as in 'watch in the actual browser'?
Because if it's the latter I suspect the player plug-in is broken. Especially as WMVs should default to Media Player, not Winamp.

Trying to watch WMVs in the browser with WinAMP is going to give you all sorts of problems.
