Whatever you decide, you'd probably could catch some good deals in the coming weeks with the Consumer Electronics Show, and the Superbowl around the corner. Assuming American football is popular enough in Canada to warrant sales for the latter event.

If anyone is actually dumb enough to dry-anchor a 40kg (possibly more) t.v to a wall, frankly deserves whats coming to him.

Some flat-panel TVs (usually larger screen sizes) have all the tuner and AV connection 'works' in a separate box, with one cable running from that to the TV. IMO, that would be a good choice if you were to wall-mount; only have one cable running up the wall, and it makes it easier to swap out DVD players, recorders, etc.

Neither are a big factor in Canada. The best time to buy electronics is between Christmas day and new years day (Boxing Day, and the week that follows, now known as Boxing Week). Big screen TVs typically get reduced to within a couple hundred bucks above cost. It's the only time that basically every store has every big ticket item on sale.

DLP makes works a lot better for digital projectors then for a TV set
