Holy crap, you're right. She kind of looks like Debbie Grund from King of the Hill. You know, the slutty blond who tried to kill Mr. Strickland but accidentally shot herself in the dumpster.

I'm fully aware of that fact, thanks, Mr. Bean. I just ripped the title from the news source.

SMG != Assault Rifle

It's obviously not a SMG. Look at the magazine. It's for a rifle caliber cartridge, not a pistol caliber. Depending on exactly what trigger group is actually installed, it may or may not be a machine gun. Looks like there's two fire settings though, making it a true assault rifle.

Also, the BATFE defines a machine gun as anything that fires more than one shot per pull of the trigger, so it would also be a machine gun.

Does anybody really care what kind of weapon it is?

Dude, look how airbrushed her face is in that picture.
Be realistic. If they had to do too much work in order to make someone presentable for a calendar, then they would simply choose someone else. There's no shortage of girls out there whose faces aren't all scratched up. I have no doubt her appearance has actually gone significantly downhill between those two photographs, makeup or no makeup.

For sure, but I doubt it's as bad as 'totally smooth face' to 'meth junkie crevice'. Without makeup etc she'd look like a regular person.

The pictures of her posing with the gun and such came quite a while before the meth-face picture, at least a period of multiple months.

Yes. Sick, sad nerdboys with a raging hardon for guns. Like me, sadly.

It was a tongue-in-cheek comment based extreme resemblance of the before/after pics to those before/after methhead photos (plus I think those things on her forehead are some sort of pipe burns). We can all take a deep breath and calm down now.

I realized that after I hit the submit button but couldn't delete it, but the comments didn't exactly seem serious. Oh well.

H&K disagrees with you Beowolf The HK53 is a submachine gun, so say's the maker of the gun. Yes it does fire rifle ammunition, but it's barrel length disqualifies it as a true assault rifle. Will you disagree with the people who make the gun Beowolf? At worst "I'm wrong" in the sense it's a hybrid gun, but it's dimensions make it a submachine gun.

And why do I care? Because it's a pet-pev of mine that the media traditional refers to EVERY automatic gun as a Machine gun. Be it an acutal machine gun like an American M249 Saw a Russian RPK-74 or a German MG3. Or Assault rifles like Ak-47's, or a G36 or a submachine gun like a Uzi or an Mp5.

Whatever the gun is, unless it's a rifle, they call it a machine gun, and it is a Pet Peeve of mine.

That's not an official website, and the site doesn't actually claim that it is a submachine gun, merely the same size as one. A submachine gun is defined as firing pistol caliber ammunition. Therefore, it's not one, because it fires 5.56 NATO. The assault rifle definition makes no note of the length of the barrel, so it can be one.

Another bizaree celebrity story; Kumari Fulbright in the second photo still looks oddly very attractive, even though she looks like a very haggard, emotional mess who clearly had a bit too much of the white/brown stuff. I wonder why she went off the rails in this fashion? Although the article did mention the man she held captive was a criminal scumbag himself and was her lover, so he very likely had something to do with Ms. Fulbright's rapid deterioration as a person.

Heavy crack-cocaine use can make somebody look like that too.

I soooooo want to caption that second picture, but I can't think of anything good right now.
