Inspired by J's thread, I figured I would post some of my photos here. All the photos link to larger versions and the rest of my stuff.

An eagle roosting for the winter.

A ball I found in my backyard.

A mystery flower I found in Thailand. Does anyone know what it is?

I LOVE that Mystery Flower. The color, the lighting, the semi-subdued tone of it - not too fuzzy and warm, but clearly not too sharp either.

I want to say the ball was maybe a foot in diameter?

The flower actually looks like that because I did what is called the orton effect to it. Basically you overlay 2 light versions of the picture over one another and blur the top layer. If you click on the picture, there should be a link to the original, unprocessed picture. You can learn about the effect here.

And yea, alot of my protestor pictures, mainly the oneswith chicks seem to have made rounds on some groups on flickr that like arrested chicks.

Got bored so I went to try and get some night pictures of this pedestrian bridge near me. With a windchill of around -10 I gave up rather quickly, but I likes how this one came out

From what I've heard, eagles see camera lenses as one big eye. So he was probably trying to figure out what the hell was looking up at him.

It is the Autoshow, not the bike show.

I was there for about 6 hours and I don't think I saw any bikes, even in the smaller companies booths.

Thanks! Yea, we get alot of eagles around my school during the winter, so assuming you don't spook them it's fairly easy to get pictures of them. If you go here and tell me which ones you like, I can clean them up and throw a hi-res up for your backgrounds
