Did you sleep through RotS or something?
Anakin Solo?

Anakin Skywalker did obviously turn/fall to the dark side.

Oh, I see. Well, I haven't read the EU. I must say though, you could have said that to start with. When someone says 'Anakin' in a Star Wars discussion, Anakin Solo is not the first one that usually springs to mind.

I suppose I should have, however since we talked about people who hadnt fallen/turned to the dark side, do you think of Anakin Skywalker then?

Oh right and I was talking about Luke Starkiller. Look douche, when you say Anakin, and don't add a last name, no one is going to assume you are talking about some fuckball EU character.

Well for all I knew, you were talking about the fact that he turned good again right at the end.

I'm not sure Anakin Solo was ever tempted by the Dark Side.

To be fair, I thinked about the possibility, but then I discarded it exactly because 'Anakin' without surname is supposed to be the Skywalker one.

How about Mara Jade? Being trained to be the Emperor's Hand is about as Dark-sidey as you can get, but she ended up turning to the Light Side and marrying Luke.

No way. She didn't even have to be seduced to be a bad guy.

Then Luke doesn't qualify either, as he fell in Dark Empire.
When did Luke fall to the Dark Side? Even in DE, he was constantly plotting behind Palpatine's back and doing good and IIRC he said something along the lines of; "The temptation was great and I would have been seduced if not for your help." when he was talking to Leia.
Numerous later sources state that Luke felt he turned to the dark side and turned back. The Jedi Academy trilogy, for example.

Even if he were, he's another trained-from-near-birth Jedi.

Really? Geez, you would think if Palpatine couldn't do it, then all the second rates wouldn't have a chance. Chalk one more up to the EU.

Like Jacen. Man, maybe they should find people with stronger character to be Jedi. Like in football... You can have all the skills in the world, but if you don't have the "heart" you aren't going to cut it.

Palpatine did do it. Palpatine was the main villain of Dark Empire and Dark Empire 2. It was after Palpatine kidnapped Luke directly from Coruscant to Byss using nothing but the Force. Palpatine then revealed himself and said "I just resurrected my Life Force using the Dark Side, then teleported you across the galaxy with the Dark Side. You better join the Dark Side, bitch, 'cuz ain't nothing you can do about it." And Luke cried and said ok.

I see. I thought you were saying it happened in The Jedi Academy Trilogy. They just referenced his previous encounter. Gotchya.

I don't want to be nitpicking, but I thought Lucifer is a fallen angel because he was thrown out of heaven after he turned against god, not because he turned against god (there we have it again, the difference between fallen and turning). :P

Concerning "Anakin", when I hear the name I usually tend to think of Anakin Solo, too. When I think about the movie-character I think of Darth Vader. Aside from that Anakin Solo wasn't a crap-character (can't talk about the JJK-books) in my mind and he was killed - fortunately I have to say now - before DelRey started the output of its current crap (this includes the DN-trilogy).
The optimist thinks, that we live in the best of all possible worlds and the pessimist is afraid, that this is true.

That was my point... Like in RL, the terms are interchangeable in the SW universe. You say a Jedi "fell" to the Dark Side and you know that he turned and it is just the way you say it. The Morning Star turned on God and was cast out and became "Fallen". A Jedi that has "fallen" has "turned" on the light and has "fallen" to the Dark Side.

"Fallen" in this case refers to having fallen from your upright, good position. Where once you were a steadfast defender of good (in Lucifer's case) or the light side (in Jedi's case), now you have fallen from your esteemed cause and are in the doghouse, so to speak. Light is seen as above dark, good above evil, so if you move from light to dark, good to evil, it naturally follows that you can be seen to have fallen.

So far See Threepio hasn't been turned to the dark side even though he is frequnetly disassembled, verbally abused, kidnapped stranded or memory wiped.

Zayne Carrick is a fully trained Jedi.
As is shown quite clearly, he was taken into the order at an early age.

Bahahahaha I actually almost laughed to tears at that retort..

The "FUCK YOU! I am Jedi!" summation of Luke's strength of character (in contrast with Anakin's) kicks ass as well.

Is Zane a Jedi? I thought they tried to kill him right before the initiation ceremony. Also, I though that they weren't even going to make him a Jedi? Guess, I should pay more attention to my comics.

Well i would be willing to throw this one out just becuase he's all wank, but Corran Horn by his own accoutn had complete shit happen to him since essentially the age of 15, but never turned to the dark side. Came quite close... once he started training as a Jedi. I think i see a pattern here. :)
