Then explain why he can get owned by any of the bosses.Seggybop wrote:Rockman X is unbeatable. No matter what he fights, he will have within him the power to defeat it. There is no chance for anyone to truly beat him. If they try, they get hit with a 10ft plasma bolt or chopped in half by lightsaber.
Oh, and by the way, X only had the saber in X1, not X3. X3 was the one where Zero was semi-playable. And I've completely forgotten who the bosses were in X3.
Weapons from this game:
A random FAQ at gamefaqs wrote:---Frost Shield (Blizzard Buffalo)---
Normal (28/56): Shoots a small ice spear forward. If it hits and destroys an
enemy or hits a wall, it creates an ice star on the floor.
Charged (19): Creates a spiked ice shield in front of X, then breaks and forms
what looks like an ice lily that travels the ground. If underwater, creates a
rideable solid block of ice that will float towards the surface. Lasts for a
limited time only.
---Acid Burst (Toxic Seahorse)---
Normal (28/56): Shoots a small ball of acid. When it hits the ground, it will
split into four smaller drops of acid, causing less damage but covering a wider
area. You can shoot it straight up as well.
Charged (28): Shoots two bouncing balls of acid the direction X is facing.
---Tornado Fang (Tunnel Rhino)---
Normal (28/56): Shoots a drill forward that inflicts multiple hits on the
target before disappearing. Press the fire button twice in a row to shoot a
wall of 3 (counts as 2 regular shots).
Charged (approx. 19 seconds): X's X-Buster transforms into a consistent drill.
Weapon energy is drained during the duration of the drill.
---Triad Thunder (Volt Catfish)---
Normal (28/56): Three electric blocks appear around X. Electricity forms a
triangle around X, then electricity shoots from the blocks at 120 degree
angles from each other.
Charged (19): Can only be used on the ground. X shakes the ground, then two
electric orbs, one in each direction, travel along the ground.
---Spinning Blade (Crush Crawfish)---
Normal (28/56): Fires two spinning blades. If they are not destroyed, they
will arch up and down while heading backwards.
Charged (19): Shoots a big spinning blade attached to a tether. Can be spun
360 degrees, similar to a yo-yo.
---Ray Splasher (Neon Tiger)---
Normal (28/56): Shoots multiple neon rays straight ahead at varying angles.
Charged (19): Creates an orb that shoots neon rays in all directions.
---Gravity Well (Gravity Beetle)---
Normal (28/56): Fires a gravity well. Only useful against certain enemies.
Charged (56): Shoots a gravity well upwards, reversing gravity for the entire
screen. Can raise some objects.
---Parasitic Bomb (Blast Hornet)---
Normal (28/56): Fires a bomb forward. If it hits a minor enemy, it will latch
onto them, then eventually explode.
Charged (28): Creates 4 targets around X. The targets will lock onto enemies,
then small hornets will attack the enemy, one for each target. Weapon energy
is drained for each hornet shot.
---Hyper Charge (Arm-E, 9th Capsule)---
Normal (14): Shoots off fully charged X-Buster shots. Energy is recovered by
taking damage. Full energy meter required to utilize (similar to X2's Gear
Crush).

He gets killed only if you suck! And since each game proceeding after the lasts assumes that he did NOT die, he was never killed.Singuler Quartet wrote:Then explain why he can get owned by any of the bosses.
In one of the Doppler stages switch to Zero and then enter the boss fight with the mosquito. It's the only boss Zero is allowed to fight. Zero will die after you kill the boss and give the lightsaber to X. He can then use it as as the most-charged up weapon. It always did 50% of the max hp damage to whatever it hit.Oh, and by the way, X only had the saber in X1, not X3.

NEver really played through the game, so that doesn't really help me, much.Seggybop wrote:He gets killed only if you suck! Or if you find the hidden capsule in X2 you can use the Shoryuken! X is also a better wall jumper than Samas. If you're pretty good, you can make X dart from wall to wall in a flash while peppering away with double crossover blasts. A charged Triad Thunder will hit her regardless of where she is so that's a plus. Why not give X his ultimate gold armor from X with all the enhancements?

He only has the X3 junk. So no hadoken. The Zero lightsaber he gets in that is only 1/2 as effective but still more than sufficient.
That was in response to that any boss could kill him, since no boss ever did, that's unlikely. That Samus and most other video game characters also are like this wasn't being considered when I said thatLikewise with Samus. Try harder.

Megaman X has a lot of heavy artillery. Unfortunatly, he has to charge to use a lot of it, which is somethins Samus is not going to give him time to do. He's also a bit behind on the manuverability department.
As for firepower vs. firepower, it's really unclear which side is stronger. Megaman fights evil robots, while Samus fights evil aliens. Megaman gets killed by spikes while Samus can't blow up rock walls. Samus can take a lava bath while Megaman has a near instant kill attack. I'd say that Samus's superior durablity is countered by Megaman's superior firepower.
As for attacks, Megaman's attacks can pretty much chase down Samus whereever she may try to hide, I mean he has one weapon for every occasion. However, his best bet will probably be the Beam saber. However, for that he either needs to charge up for a while (good freaking luck) or use his Hyper Charge. Samus is restricted to firing in one direction, but she can aldo fire down, up, and in other funky directions.
I think that is Samus can use her superior manuverability to dance circles around Megaman, she can take him down. Juet stay out of his reach and pound him to death.

I am capable of rearranging the fundamental building blocks of the universe in under six seconds. I shelve physics texts under "Fiction" in my personal library! I am grasping the reigns of the universe's carriage, and every morning get up and shout "Giddy up, boy!" You may never grasp the complexities of what I do, but at least have the courtesy to feign something other than slack-jawed oblivion in my presence. I, sir, am a wizard, and I break more natural laws before breakfast than of which you are even aware!

Does that work for ALL weapons? I though it only worked for the normal shots.Seggybop wrote:In X3 he had the hypercannon (or something like that) that caused him to be constantly charged up. So no charge time.

Re: Samus Aran vs. Megaman X
When did Zero become a boss in X3? He doesn't have the zero saber, nor does he have the arm or golden chip, I thought the most useful to him in this fight would be the body chip with temorary shielding after he was hit with an attack.anarchistbunny wrote:X has his upgraded Armor, 4 full charged subtanks and the body chip and the Boss Attacks from Megaman X3.
And I don't know what this bullshit about one hit kills or that he's unbeatable. He got his ass handed to him at the start of X and X3, and would have been FUCKED if it wasn't for Zero saving his ass, and the Hadoken is not a one hit kill, Sigma's last form can shrug them off like pebbles.

Sigma's last form can only shrug them off because its fucking impossible to hit the right spot. It is possible, but the target area is really small. You have to be right at the top to hit him.

Well if you have the ultimate invincible Met-hat armor that every single friggen weapon bounces off of, then yeah its not a one hit kill weapon. Its a part of the game to section off eneimes to make them harder to kill. Both games have their own "you can't hurt this no matter what!" things in them. Of course, since X and Samas are the player's character they don't have that kind of armor do they? Oh and X didn't get his ass handed to him in X3. You're talking about X being disabled by Mac, right? Well he was taken by surprise. Should I ask why Samas didn't defeat the X parasite that she encounters in the beginning of Metroid Fusion? Its plot convinience.

Charged X-buster kicks ass, but it can only fire on direction:forward. Some of the charged-shots cover large areas of the screen, and would be useful then.Seggybop wrote:Only works for x-buster / normal weapon. But the shots are so huge and powerful that it makes that I don't see any reason why you'd need anything else.
