I bare responcibility for the whole thing starting. When asked to rate the site of theirs i made an arse out of myself. I appologise and if the board wishes i will leave SD.net.

It's hardly your fault that the site author has been trash-talking me for years, or that their board is so unapologetically irrational that they think creationism is a scientific theory. You went overboard, but it's a forgivable offense.

It's not "holier than thou" to say that they're stupid if they think creationism is a scientific theory; we are merely stating an obvious fact. Their declarations of moral superiority based on swear-words, however, are bullshit. It is quite possible to cuss like a sailor and be a good person, hence the difference between what they're doing and what we're doing.

The whole "you're swearing, therefore I'm right" defense works too well, especially in front of crowds. Hell, look at the 2000 presidential debates. Gore could have had all the brilliant points and ideas on his side in the world, but if he dared call Bush a "fucking idiot," he'd have lost.

Mike all we are doing is bashing on them for being ignorant and puffing ourselves up saying "oh we are so much smarer." It doesn't matter if we have evidence on our side its the adult equivalent of taunting at this point and personally it serves no purpose. Doubtful. Look at how everyone reacted when Gore decided to visually and audibly display his exasperation from dealing with Bush. If he couldn't get away with sighing in digust, I don't think outrighly calling him a fucking idiot would have floated very well.

But there are some who are slower than me. I majored with good enough grades to say that several PhD have lower graduation grades than I have. They did an extra research. Big deal. They still think slower and find new concepts harder to grasp. When studying for the first time the same problem, they don't reach a better solution.

And I'm talking of PhD's in science, the only ones I respect. If somebody has a PhD in arts and brags about it, he can shovle it up his ass. He wouldn't pass the first year of an engineering course.

Hey, hey. I'm going LibArts because I enjoy it more. If we actually still had a physics major, I'd be declaring that as my dual major tonight (IIRC, the professor just resigned). As it is, I'll probably be going economics, even if they'll refuse to admit falsifiability of their theories.

Who the hell is the "Shadow" he refers to. We have numerous posters with the word "Shadow" in their screen-names, but I don't think any of them have been as involved in vs. debates as the rest of us on that list (and many who are not on it).

That's why I said brag about it. You can take an arts course, I respect that, obviously, but I strongly dislike people who come to me saying all courses are of the same difficulty, that they're PhD in whatever makes them smarter, etc. It's not true. The degrees are not all alike. Some are harder than others. And some colleges are harder than others.

That's why students who give up engineering have sucess in a less challenging area. And that's why some students have much more free time than others, and still pass.
