Well heat is motion of microscopic objects and KE is movement of a group of microscopic objects that can be described macroscopically. HOWEVER this does not mean the two things are interchangeable.
Interchangable like say friction when rubbing two hands together?

That falls under the rule energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only be transfered from form to another. In most interactions heat is consider Waste Energy that is lost.

Yes though even there you won't have 100% efficiency (you end up imparting KE from one hand to the other and the waste generates the heat).
