Brave ending. The episode wasn't very remarkable, but that ending sure made up for it.

Probably my favourite so far this series.

However, I dont know if the surprise endings going to stick for very long. Given the next episode seems to be about ghosts or some such. We might even see a return of the resurection Gauntlet (part 2).

I'm torn. I sort've want Owen dead, because that adds to the drama and danger, as per the comments in TW Declassified, but I also liked Owen as the big mouthed, macho guy to counter Jack.

Plus, sucks to be Tosh.

And maybe they'll kill Suzi again.

He'll probably be brought back to life next episode. Jack's clearly going for the glove and pulls something else back with it. The thing in the void which Suzi was rambling on about.

I thought Suzi's ominous nonsense was just foreshadowing for the Abbadon thing?

It was a good ep, the next one is just bizarre, the one after that seems to feature: Owen as a Zombie Ninja Assassin after he gets fired by Jack.

Well, I quite liked it. Especially Martha. I like her, despite what other people might think :P
I hope Owen doesn't stay dead. He might be annoying, but he gives the show that bit of cynism :)
But I really hope they do something about Tosh. I mean, how often does she get burned, while it seems everyone around here is getting coupled?

Well, sucks to be anyone who has any kind of romantic envolvement with her. Before there had to be kissing to result in death, now just agreeing to go on a date with her is fatal.

I really rather enjoyed that. Owen dying was an absolute shock - I never saw it coming at all. It's rather nice that, this series, the problems don't ALL appear to be cause by the Idiot Squad themselves.

Felt gutted for poor Tosh - let's hope she doesn't get it on with Jack, as we can't afford for him to die off :)

Just a shame that Owen didn't manage to blow Martha apart with his zapping device before he copped one.

What a bloody awful actress she is - let's hope, with all our hearts, that she doesn't join the TW team permanently. It might be the straw that broke the camel's back (and let's face it, the camel suffers from brittle bone disease as it is).

I commented previously that she is the main cause for most of the crap episodes in the last DW series and she did her best to ruin this one. She simply doesn't seem capable of any on-screen chemistry with the main man in the show. You can't blame The Doctor or Jack, as they both seem able to do so with practically every other member of the cast at various points.

Feed her to the weevils

Actually, up until that point, I thought that episode was doing really well. Ho hum.

I actually liked Martha in Doctor Who. For some reason, she was just irritating in Reset.
"So you want to live on a planet?"
"No. I think I'd find it a bit small and wierd."
"Aren't they dangerous? Don't they get hit by stuff?"

Bit of cynicism = insanely insecure egomaniacal murderer? He's be a more interesting character if people actually treated him appropriate to his actions.

Some of the best characters are insanely insecure egomaniacal murderers Or not. :D
I just think that without him the Team would be somewhat bland, without edge.

So Martha goes from medical student (was she near the end of her course in Smith and Jones?) to Doctor and high ranking member of UNIT in under a year relative time? How does that make sense.

Jack kept talking about how hardcore Martha was and yet she didn't really do anything to justify it in the episode in question. She just ran around and got herself caught.

From the previews I thought that Martha was going to be called specifically to infiltrate the med centre, which would have made more sense in the end that her being a UNIT liaison person.

Not the best episode of the season but not all that bad. Just bland and having the entire point of getting Owen shot.

GHETTO EDIT: I'm also hoping they'll reveal wasn't really the Doctor who recommended her for UNIT because that just struck me as totally wrong. Please let it be part of someone's villainous scheme...

She was a final year medical student. As a trained and practicing physician joining a western army, should would immediately recieve officer rank, normally a Captain. Supposedly the 'should I call you ma'am' bit is meant to be representative of the relationship between Torchwood and UNIT - a UNIT captain outranks him.

She did, however, save the entire world last time he saw her, while Jack got himself chained up by the Master, and the rest of his little trained minions were presumably either on the run or killed.

Yep. Usually he leaves them in some godforsaken hole to die. His behaviour is perhaps improving.
