The basic design that is now being marketed as the AA-12 has been around for something like 30 years, and they’ve only made a couple prototypes in all that time. Automatic shotguns suck. The AA-12 is even worse because it requires proprietary ammo to work at all. Most successful automatic shotguns, like the SPAS-12 and SPAS-15 only managed to be successful because they also incorporated to ability to function as a pump action gun and they didn’t try to deliver ultra high rates of automatic fire. AA-12 doesn't have an option for pump action and can fire one type of ammo, no one will ever buy it.
