What does a Battlefist actually do? Just curious.
As for Lifedrinker... You can only ever have a maximum of 30 points, at 10th level in the prestige class. Considering the requirements are "Must be a vampire" and 6 ranks in Knowledge arcana and spellcraft, that's 3 HD, 8 LA for vampire, and 10 levels of Lifedrinker. Which is ECL 21. So it's hardly the most broken thing ever. An ECL 21 sorceror can give everyone in a mile radius sphere +300 to any stat she chooses if she does it right. Or Animate the planet (as the spell). So a 30 Enhancement bonus to strength at, if your lucky, +9 BAB, at level 21... Yeeaah.
Unless you start doing weird crap with the polymorph school, It's not fabulously unreasonable.

Lifedrinker? I don't see how. I assume it's something based onloomer wrote:It's the Blood Drinker one.Joviwan wrote:I'm looking, but I'm not sure I'm seeing it. But the maximum str that can be gained from that is 2xlevel. Don't get me wrong, a vampire running around with 40+ strength and DR 20/+2 is fucking mean, but it's not infinite anything. What am I missing?Greater Invigorate (Ex): Whenever a 9th-level lifedrinker
uses its invigorate ability, it gains a +1 enhancement
bonus to Strength for each lifewell point spent. If multiple
lifewell points are spent at the same time, the bonus is correspondingly
larger. A lifedrinker that spends 10 lifewell
points all at once on invigorate gains 10d6 temporary hit
points and a +10 enhancement bonus to Strength. But if the
lifedrinker spends 5 lifewell points in one round and 5 more
points in the next, it has 10d6 temporary hit points but only
a +5 enhancement bonus to Strength. The bonus to Strength
lasts for 24 hours.

Worse yet, that lifedrinker vampire has a minimum ECL of 23, not 21, because the minimum HD required to make a vampire and not a vampire spawn is 5, not 3. So its an unpleasant bastard to be sure, but not really that great as a PC at these levels. Makes a nice NPC to torment your PCs with, but otherwise not that great in comparison.

To meander back to Warforged.. Here is the most hilarious one I've seen. One peice of DM Fiat was reducing the cost of an internal component: Cast Alter Self at will, but only with the form of an Animated Object, and moreso, only the form of a Tiny music player. Then the Warforged regularly summoned a condor, panther, and pair of humanoids to do the fighting for him.

Warforged totemist/barbarian/totem rager. Nasty thing in a fight, but I'm not too good as of yet at actually optimising a totemist build.
As for why a warforged would become a totemist? ...my best idea involved lots of amnesia and him being repaired by a nomadic tribe's shaman.

Earlier in the Book of Vile Darkness is a listing of diseases including one named the Festering Rage. Per day, the disease deals: +2 STR, -1d3 CON. The Cancer Mage is immune to the latter effect.
The Cancer Mages walks around with this for a week. 7 days = +14 STR.
He walks around with this for a month, or 30 days = +60 to STR.
You see where this is going.

That's the easiest to block exploit I've yet seen. Just say that non of the diseases effects affect him, or that voluntarily dropping his immunity exposes him to the sideeffects (Although the latter shouldn't even be an option). And this is far from the only example. Other diseases are just as easily exploited by the prestige. I just remember Festering Rage because it's the most spectacular.

Probably not what you're looking for, but warforged warlocks are pretty neat. They can shoot laser beams out their eyes every six seconds, without ever stopping, 24 hours a day. Build up your use magic device skill and get some craft feats and you can do things like enchant your own composite plating. The racial penalty to charisma slows you down a little, but not nearly as bad as it would hurt a sorceror.
I prepared Explosive Runes today.
There was also a shield that prevented the first 5 points of ability damage a person would receive in a day, so the class is unnecessary if your just using the festering anger.Kuja wrote:

Char Op has responded. I'll get the links for you to spare you the trouble...
http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=791388 (To make the Warforged Juggernaut a little more worthwhile... Check with your DM and see if he'll let you have a caster "research" a spell to enlarge constructs. It'd probably be identical to Enlarge Person in every way except it'd be for the Construct type rather than humanoids. If you go as a Warforged Juggernaut you'll get the ability to deal damage on your bullrushes, regardless of if there's anything to squash the enemy against.
If you've got a DM that's fond of using ability drain/ability damage, mind-affecting, etc. the Juggernaut PrC is worth looking into. Sure it'll ping your max BAB, but you'll have immunities to drive your DM nuts.

And the above is the response I got.In SHCOL, search for the keywords 'up against the wall! Bullrushing finally gets its day!'. It uses the Dungeoncrasher Fighter variant from Dungeonscape and for Warforged, you take the Warforged Juggernaut PrC and Brutal Surge weapon enhancement to replace the lack of ability to gain Knockback without being a Warforged Titan/Charger (LA +4 or so...).
Also, there's the Dread Champion web PrC that lets you gain immunities like an Undead so you're like Bone Knight lite. Undead Warforged gain tons of immunities. There's also the way of dealing damage via Dragonborn to get the 'drop' on your enemies.
If you've got a DM that's fond of using ability drain/ability damage, mind-affecting, etc. the Juggernaut PrC is worth looking into. Sure it'll ping your max BAB, but you'll have immunities to drive your DM nuts.
Sig images are for people who aren't fucking lazy.

Seems like a fairly stupid way to define a disease, though.

And a bit of background.
Umbar is a Warforged Fighter unearthed by Kelloby and Kalnölendil on a recent dig.
He had spent five years buried following a blast which left him smothered him beneath dirt and rubble. Being aware this whole time has left him feeling somewhat liberated. Seeing that the House Cannith which created him made no attempts to recover him, he feels that he has no legitimate bondage to this House and is now free. He does however feel indebted to Kelloby and Kalnölendil for rescuing him from his earthen imprisonment and to this point has been assisting them with their ongoing research and occasionally interceding on their behalf when situations move beyond the academic.
His disagreements with House Cannith have thus far never risen to much beyond the occasional rebuff of an order, but by the same measure he does not affiliate himself with the various Warforged liberation groups, feeling that their plight is not truly aligned with his own situation. He also feels that some Warforged are a little "preachy" on the matter.
Of course, Umbar couldn't get preachy if he tried, five years of solitude hasn't exactly done wonders for his social skills. He is trying though. The perpetual wakeful state is something which he is now putting to good use, wandering the streets all day and all night. His continuing fear of enclosed spaces keeps him outdoors more often than not. In the many parks and along the airborne bridges and boulevards he can often be found staring upwards towards the clouds and stars as well as intently observing the streets, buildings and people around him. As such, Milo has found him to be an invaluable source of information at times.
His disconcerting visage is always something that has worked against him. Companions have never been easy to come by, and some Warforged shun him for the animalistic design of his form. He is always careful though, his massive form and overwhelming strength led to many incidents early in his new life within the city. It has taken a lot of time to retrain his body following immobility, but he is now even able to handle small and fragile objects with great dexterity and gentleness despite his clawed hands. Umbar's loyalties lie firmly with those who have demonstrated friendship and compassion to him. Aside from Kelloby, Kalnölendil and Milo, he has few who he could count as friends. Some are the itinerants who can be found throughout Sharn, the homeless and drifters. A few of the city's Watch rely on him for information as Milo sometimes does, they have also been known to ask him to "just stand about" at times, as the presence of a large, ursine Warforged tends to be a strong disincentive towards many petty street crimes. But one of his most treasured acquaintances is one of the researchers at the university whomhe met through Kelloby. This researcher, Orton is an astronomer, and a tireless companion who loves to stare skywards with him has been a great use for several of his studies. Umbar loves to hear from Orton as it means a night of learning, conversation and discussion of their shared passion is upcoming. Umbar maintains a small "lock up" in Tavick's Landing which stores several of his larger possessions and in which he will sometimes test his claustrophobia.
And a very poor picture of Umbar, stolen and horribly edited from Age of Legends concept art.
