The Post-Dated Check Loan vs the Enterprise-D

Post by HemlockGrey »

The crew of the Enterprise-D is surprised while in dry dock by two diplomatic passengers identified only as 'B&B'. Picard is only told that he must safeguard his passengers at all costs and escort them to a remote star system.

Far, far away, in an alternate dimension, Captain Tagon is contacted by a strangely-shaped ship that identifies itself only as the 'Andromeda'. A dark figure calling itself 'Majel' gives Tagon a contract - he must kill two strange figures known only as 'B&B'. Majel then transports Tagon + Co. to the UFP.

Discreetly locating B&B's whereabouts, Tagon ambushes the Enterprise-D and it's two escorts. Although the escorts are terapedoed into space dust, Geordi is able to reconfigure the shields to block teraports by threading the dilithium matrix through the subspace relay frequencies provided by the excess ion radiation that is being emitted by Wesley's acne.

The two ships square off. Who is the victor?

I thought that we'd already established that the Enterprise-D would lose to Apollo 13, and all superior space craft.

there actually is one universe that would probably lose to Starfleet in a straight fight, Rifts Phase World. If you scale up from the damage represented by one point of S.D.C. you learn that their capital ship heavy weapons don't even reach the kiloton range.

You can't really judge a system realistically that has heavy nukes with a blast radius of fifty feet. At the very least, assuming a linear damage scale would be premature.

The Movie MI might lose to Starfleet too, at least in space.

PCLC twats the E-D. with the AI in charge of the weapons and shields it'd smash the E-D before Picard can say 'Fire on my...' let alone 'Mark'
