Happy Birthday, Chelsea Clinton

Chelsea Clinton celebrates birthday Charleston's Bridge Road Bistro

Chelsea Clinton ate at a local restaurant on her 28th birthday, the restaurant's general manager said.

The daughter of former President Bill Clinton and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton dined on vegetarian fare Wednesday at Charleston's Bridge Road Bistro during a campaign swing through the area.

Clinton flew into Yeager Airport and stopped for dinner on her way to Parkersburg to stay with her mother, who was campaigning in Pomeroy, Ohio, on Wednesday, said the bistro's general manager Amy Sue Gates.

Earlier on Wednesday, Clinton's assistant called the restaurant to make reservations, saying that five people recommended the bistro.

"It was a big deal for us, for someone like that to say that people suggested she eat here," Gates said.

Clinton arrived for a 9:30 p.m. reservation and stayed about two hours, dining on a vegetarian entrée and celebrating her birthday with a sorbet dessert, Gates said.

The restaurant's staff and a few of the patrons even sang happy birthday to Clinton, Gates said.

"We've never sang to anyone here," she said. "It was kind of impromptu."

Ed Rabel, a retired CBS and NBC newsman, was among the patrons who just happened to be dining at the bistro.

Rabel was a national security correspondent at the Pentagon during Bill Clinton's presidency. Rabel briefly talked with Chelsea Clinton, who recognized him from her days in Washington, and sent her dining party a bottle of champagne.

Dining with Clinton were Bari Lurie, chief of staff for Sen. Clinton's presidential campaign, and Philippe Reines, senior adviser at Sen. Clinton's New York office, Rabel said.

Clinton dined at a table "in the middle of everything," Gates said. She and the restaurant's staff worked to keep interested diners from disturbing Clinton, even offering to switch her table, Gates said.

"She was very cordial," Gates said. "She said that it was good to be around real life."

7 Leap Years = 28 Normal Years = 196 Dog Years.

Also, she missed one in 2000 so actually she's 6.

Happy Birthday Chelsea, now tell your mother and father to stay the fuck out of my country this Good Friday, we don't need either Clinton trying to take all the credit once again for the Belfast Agreement.

Not to be a wet blanket or anything, but who cares what, when, or where some random girl ate on her birthday?

(and yeah, I realize who she's related to)

Yes every 400th year we don't get a leap day. 2000 was a fluck in that it was a 400th year and still a leap day. That actually caused more computer problems then Y2K did.

You've got it backwards. We typically do not have a leap day on century years, except when the century is divisible by four. 1700, 1800, 1900, no leap day. 2000, leap day.
