Waru has nothing on this.

Cassandraic words, to be sure.

Well Jango must have been the Black Sheep, because his armor was immaculate.VT-16 wrote:Hmm, maybe they are allowed out of it at times, but usually they have to wear it most of the time, and they definitely don't clean them, I know I've read that somewhere.Even though we SEE Jango out of his suit in AOTC?

Of course, Jango had a cushy base on Kamino in a period of relative peace in the galaxy, giving him lots of time to keep his suit pristine.
Boba on the other hand didn't have such a base and was probably much more busy being a bounty hunter in the middle of the galactic civil war.
To say that his suit isn't cleaned because it's his "culture" is ridiculous, and typical of Traviss.
We can't have Boba Fett be unable to clean his suit due to time and resources, right? He's PERFECT after all. He just doesn't want to.

Who the fuck thinks that wearing your armor 24/7 and never cleaning it is cool or even makes sense? And as others have pointed out, Jango's armor was spotless and he freely walked around without it. Stupid Fandalorian hack writing...VT-16 wrote:Hmm, maybe they are allowed out of it at times, but usually they have to wear it most of the time, and they definitely don't clean them, I know I've read that somewhere.Even though we SEE Jango out of his suit in AOTC?

Hey, when your inspiration is crusty dildo that has splotches of something grey and green, it's easy to see why she thinks it's okay that Boba and the Mando never clean their outfits.Jim Raynor wrote:Who the fuck thinks that wearing your armor 24/7 and never cleaning it is cool or even makes sense? In the strategy guide for 'Knights of the Old Republic 2', the description for the Mandalorian said, "A true Mandalorian never removes his armor, even when sleeping." So Karen Traviss isn't the only person who stupidly believes it's hygienic for someone to never change out of a very uncomfortable set of clothes.
Please do not make Americans fight giant monsters.
Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.
They have more WMD than there are monsters for us to fight. (More insanity here.)

Which is ironic considering Canderous swapped armors all the time in KOTOR1, and in both KOTORs all Mandalorians kept their suits nice and shiny.Sidewinder wrote:In the strategy guide for 'Knights of the Old Republic 2', the description for the Mandalorian said, "A true Mandalorian never removes his armor, even when sleeping." If I'm reading the "phase shifting" weapons bit right, am I correct to believe she's somehow developed the "Metal Crystal phase shifter" from the JEdi Academy trilogy into a working weapon? I don't actuallyt have a problem wwith this (they talked about adapting the resonance torpedoes into a mass production weapon there too, and even though the MCPS was goofy and had a mess of problems back in the novel, its still tolerable on the grand scale of things, superweapon or no.)
The silly thing about this (aside from DAala bringing it back) rests solely in the timing of things. Namely, Daala brings this shit forward (out of the blue) decades after she disappeared. It really has to make you wonder - why was she hiding (and hiding this) all this time when the Imperial Remnant was still fighting the New Republic? When the New Republic (and later the Alliance) were fighting the Vong? I cannot fathom the logic needed to make this sensible or coherent or even viable as anything shortt of "deus ex machina". It's a tossup as to whether the Mandalorian Iron bit or this is worse.

One has to wonder how and when they have the time to make repairs or run maintenance on their armour, since they usually have sophisticated eleoctronics in it (or to patch up damage to the armour itself.)Sidewinder wrote:In the strategy guide for 'Knights of the Old Republic 2', the description for the Mandalorian said, "A true Mandalorian never removes his armor, even when sleeping." Obviously the armor is self-maintaining and repairing, fueled by the incredible power of Mandalorian testosterone.Connor MacLeod wrote:One has to wonder how and when they have the time to make repairs or run maintenance on their armour, since they usually have sophisticated eleoctronics in it (or to patch up damage to the armour itself.)Sidewinder wrote:In the strategy guide for 'Knights of the Old Republic 2', the description for the Mandalorian said, "A true Mandalorian never removes his armor, even when sleeping."
